   This is a Lovely, immaculate, friendly and as the name suggests…welcoming cafe on the main road as you exit/enter Dumbarton depending on your direction. Like the Tardis the interior extends beyond what you expect and there is seating galore. The scones are huge and homemade, the coffee was a blend very much to my taste. Daily specials are on the board. All in all this is worth the visit and I heartily give it my vote.

   we loved Benvenuti! our first time in Dumbarton and this little coffee shop was easy to find with google maps, friendly and timely service. the cappuccino was tasty and generous in size. I had a delicious scone that was warmed with butter and jam on the side. then after a while my husband and I shared a tasty sandwich. everything comes fresh. the decor/ furniture is comfortable, but not so cozy if you’re looking for more of a coffee-house vibe. but this is a wonderful place!

   Super cafe. Stopped for a snack during bike ride. Scones, Bakwell tart, coffee and service were all great. All looked and tasted homemade. For cyclists it's v handy for NCN7 Glasgow -> Loch Lomond.

   To start off I would just like to say I wish there was an option for zero stars because I’m so very disappointed with not only the food that was served to us but also the service that was provided. When we arrived to the cafe we weren’t even greeted with a warm welcome only greeted with silence to be just pointed to our seats no words spoken. I work in this industry and know how to greet customers, this service I was provided was absolutely appalling. When seated it took a good 10 minutes for us to be given menus. Our orders where took pretty fast, this was the only thing fast about this cafe everything else was as slow as a week in jail. Once our orders had been took our drinks were brought out first which is obviously normal in any restaurant/cafe, but to my understanding food is meant to be brought out shortly after. Unfortunately this was not the case and the food took almost 50minutes to be brought out. Not once did any member of staff come up to us to let us know our food was on its way or say sorry for our wait. When the food eventually did come out our soup was cold and our so called toastiest looked like sandwiches. I’m never one to sit and give bad reviews about anywhere because I know what it’s like to work in this industry but to not only be provided a shocking service receiving bad customer service made the experience overall sour. I was recommended this place. I really wish I wasn’t. WONT BE BACK.
