Had a good night last Friday in the Charlie. All the staff are really good and welcoming. However Alison who works behind the bar just goes that little bit further to make you feel right at home. Booked our new year tickets through her also.
Cracking atmosphere: lively chat, proper Scottish welcome. Staff are top-notch, especially Natalie, friendly, fast, and full of smiles. She made our night. Great pub, will be back. Love from an English man.
So after a quick Google this place came up said child friendly but we got asked to leave as apparently kids not allowed, it literally says all over Google child friendly child menu! Maybe the English accent had more to do with it the dirty looks we got seemed to suggest that!
Warm and welcoming pub with a great atmosphere. Ally behind the bar couldn’t be more helpful. Would recommend!
Was in on Saturday night for a few drinks and had great service from both Ewan and David. Both guys were a good laugh and helped to create a good atmosphere in the pub. Will be back soon!
Have popped in here numerous times over the years after being out for dinner or for a “quick pint” in the afternoon and staying till late and have always been made welcome. Pubs like this are a dying breed and we should always support them. Always a friendly smile and service is quick. The Karaoke on the weekend is a good laugh as well. Drinks are very well priced also. Haven’t tried the food but will be sure to in the future. Support your local!
