   Wow! Genuinely the worst food I have ever eaten! Ordered today, they flys flying around the restaurant, while they have the sauces out for them to land on was a warning sign but it was to late as we already ordered. Thankfully the food was hot making sure the flys dident infect the food. But the food, utterly tasteless, couple of bites and we binned it. Genuinely gross, completely a waste of money! Also for the EHO, they dont display there food hygiene rating as required by law. Just so all other customers are are as they hide this information, they scraped a 3 star, witch means that there is food at risk! Do not eat here! Waste of money, and if we get food poisoning we will claim! Disgraceful! The girls counting up there daily pay told us they dont trust you to pay them. And i dont blame them, i wouldn’t trust this restaurant to boil an egg. AVOID! The none showing of your rating had been reported to the EHO, its a massive fine when they inspect you! So put it up and let your customers know you can not cook safe food! As required by law!

   I have been using these restaurant for the last 7 years I never had a problem till tonight I've ordered some food and some of my dishes was not been in my bag a ring of the restaurant and told them the problem and he told me the one of the deliberately and be very aggressive to me on the phone please don't order from this Chinese cos he had a rip off

   What a fantastic find. We are staying in the area and fancied a takeaway. We weren't disappointed and will definitely be back. The food was fresh and delicious with great portions and fair prices. We are regularly take-away goers and whether it be fish and chips, Chinese, Indian, Turkish I have to say this is the best we've had in years! The duck curry was amazing and the Special Fried Rice. Also, a big shout out to the staff who work so hard. It looks pretty relentless in that kitchen. The busiest kitchen I've seen. Thanks for really awesome food.

   We had ordered sweets and sour hongkong prawns and we had delivered chicken one ,with sweet sauce not sour. And not any prawns. Curry sauce been much too salty. Never order again from this place. Big disappointment.

   It's sooo good. The best Chinese food I've ever had. The flavours in the hot and sour soup are incredible. Haven't had a single bad dish and don't expect to.

   Ordered Char Siu Pork in Garlic and Chilli. Tasted a bit weird so inspected the dish to discover it was swimming in oil and smelled off. Instantly threw up. Went to the fridge just now to take another look and threw up again from the smell even when it was cold and in the fridge!

   There are many takeaways in Westbury but for Chinese I always have picked China Cottage. Many times I have ordered chicken fried rice and it has always been cooked perfectly. Delivery has always been very quick. China Cottage is also great as the delivery fee cost is very reasonable compared to others in Westbury and as a bonus there's no minimum spend either.

   This place survives because the local competition is even worse. There is no doubt the food is good but the service is awful. I have been a customer for years and put up with it but enough is enough. I had spent £70 on a meal. Went to pick it up they said half an hour but they were nearly an hour. I am used to this, I once waited for an hour AFTER the half an hour. I drove the 10 mins to home to find the sauces missing. This ruined two meals. I rang them, no apology. They said they would give me discount next time. I said not good enough and requested they send it out with their driver. They refused and then agreed but said they would take an hour and a half to deliver it. Turns out they had no international whatsoever to deliver it. THEY JUST DIDN’T BOTHER. I get mistakes happen but it’s how you fix them. Their arrogance is really quite something. Check out the owners reply to another 1 star review. As I said at the start, sadly for us local residents the other Chinese restaurants in the area are so poor it props up this place. Hopefully one day we will get a better owner or another restaurant set up. In the meantime after many years of support I am withdrawing my patronage. I cannot in good conscience give more money to these people. I will instead be trying Chinese restaurants in Warminster.
