   I had the pleasure of stopping into The Pipe Shop in Leith in September 2025. I had done a quick Google search before departing for Scotland and found this to be the only search return for a pipe store in the country! As a pipe aficionado, it was my goal to bring home a pipe to mark my holiday as well as some European tobacco not readily available in North America. The owner, Steve, took the time to review my grocery list of obscure tobacco and profile match them to loose leaf he had in store. Some of the ones I was looking for no longer existed but he did the best he could and an excellent job at that. A previous reviewer noted limited pipe stock which I also found to be the case however it appeared that as something sold, something new was brought in to fill the gap. The smaller selection was disappointing but it also felt fair... in today's financial climate it's folly to tie up capital, especially in stock for a dwindling hobby. Pipe smoking simply isn't as prolific as it once was. I would probably deduct half a star for this one element but since there's no halves, the odds go to the store leaving it at 5/5. In the end I picked a pipe I am very happy with, bought some lovely tobacco's to share with my husband and left feeling like it was a great experience. I feel I was offered competitive pricing and excellent customer service which goes a long ways. To add, the business has diversified: the Little Havana Coffee Store next door is also part of the enterprise and offers an excellent espresso. I strongly encourage anyone passing by to partake in what is, in my opinion, the two best legal drugs: caffeine and nicotine! ;-) **Steve, if you read this, please know that I have made a concerted effort to improve my pipe-cleaning habits since our conversation, haha.**

   Well stocked in tobacco but the range of pipes was a big let down. The displays photographed from previous reviews were pretty much empty. Was hoping to treat myself to a new pipe but not meant to be on this occasion.

   Steve is one of the biggest and most kind hearted legends in Edinburgh. No matter how busy the shop is or if the deliveries are late, he is always incredibly apologetic and goes out of his way to help. A true gentleman!

   Having gotten all of my tobacco from Robert Graham for the last ~12 year or so, I'm now a loyal customer here after just my first visit. Unrivaled customer service, really laid back fellas who are more than happy to talk shop. Plenty of reasonably priced pipes, as well - not just the high end stuff, and it goes without saying that they have an incredible selection of tobacco too.

   Great tobacconist I have been a customer for years. The staff are great they are very professional and friendly. I ordered from the pipe shop through the week and they were having difficulty with the post office so the staff phoned me and told me about the parcel will be sent the following day and fully refunded the delivery charge and sent me free goods. No other tobacconist online would do that so I will stay a customer always and totally recommend them ti everyone.

   Great shop with very friendly and helpful staff! Visiting from the US it was nice to find some local guys to talk tobacco with. This shop has the largest and best selection of tobacco products that I've seen so far in the country!
