Absolutely wonderful service today! Mel looked after us and was incredible. The food was divine. Quick service, amazing setting and fantastic food.
I had previously given Browns a 5* review but in Sept 2025 Hubby and I went for our anniversary dinner as we have been there multiple times and never had a bad meal.....until now. We were given a table wedged in the corner even though the restaurant was empty. We ordered steak, chips and onion rings. The food looked great as per pic but the steak was not how I had ordered (the first bite was rare/medium rare when I asked for medium) and was extremely chewy. I couldn't even finish chewing the second bite and had to spit it into a napkin to get rid of it. I didn't continue eating the steak after that so I don't know how cooked the centre was. The onion rings were undercooked as well. My hubby's steak was also extremely chewy. The whole meal was not a pleasant experience and I couldn't wait to leave, we didn't even finish the bottle of wine we had ordered. They agreed to take my steak off the bill but the night was already ruined for me which is a shame as it had always been great.
Great food served. Had the prawn cocktail for starters, roast beef main, and lemon tart for dessert. All dishes were well cooked; only the beef which could be slightly more tender. Great service by Mel tonight.
A beautiful restaurant with excellent staff. The food was of a high standard and they even accommodated our request for an item from brunch menu despite it being after 12pm. I highly recommend.
Treated myself to a traditional afternoon tea while visiting Bath. The food was lovely and the waitress was too. She gave me ideas if where to visit. I was a solo guest but that wasn't a problem for the afternoon tea. I think the price was ok for the area, property and experience.
A fantastic place to hold a business social event! We had our company relaunch party here and it was a brilliant success! Thanks to the friendly staff, great location and fantastic food.
Bottomless Brunch. It’s my favourite especially with a Bloody Mary. Browns in Bath was great. Like really good. This location was amazing and looked fantastic. £35 for a Standard Brunch and £55 for a Champagne Brunch. This brunch offered Lobster Benedict (£5 supplement) Who does that?! It tasted really good. The drinks came promptly and we were regularly attended to without being pestered. (She was lovely) We sat inside but the outside area looked great. I would have sat outside but you know, seagulls. There isn’t really much more to say. Great location. Great menu. Great drink options. As long as you are with good people, this option is a great place to go. Would return. But only inside. Seagulls.
Lovely unhurried meal with timely service and no pressure. Pleasant atmosphere and decor, tables set well apart and music not too loud. I can image the views are great in summer too.
Looked forward to the meal I'd booked for a while, but I was not impressed. The setting is wonderful, I just wish the meal was of the same standard. The scallops that accompanied my medium rare fillet steak were cold. The problem was, the waiter didn't come and enquire how our meals were, and as we were all ravenous we cracked on with the food. Pretty well over priced for the culinary experience. In a nutshell, great building /location, food not so great! Just as we were leaving the table next to us returned a chicken skewer as it was raw!
