Yes, I would recommend this hotel and would stay here again. Good sized room (corner room) with views in two directions towards the sea. Usual tea/coffee, hairdryer etc and an iron with mini ironing board which is a bonus nowadays. Friendly helpful staff and team stop close by. Remember, itβs Leith, not the city centre if thatβs what youβre looking for but I like the slightly more subdued area which has plenty of shops, bars and restaurants on the hotelβs doorstep. Onsite free parking too, big bonus if youβre driving. Slight amount of noise from corridor and adjacent bedrooms but all in all a great stay.

After a recent stay during this Christmas I felt compelled to leave a review due to the excellent customer service I received. With Malmaison hotels you always know you're going to stay in a lovely room that's tastefully appointed in a great location within the city it's based. I want to particularly thank the reception team with their help with the following:- . Early Check-In - Upon arrival at 12:00 I asked to leave my luggage whilst visiting the city of Edinburgh. At reception they allowed an early check-in due to room type availability which was greatly appreciated. . Free Refreshments - On two occasions during my stay I was very kindly provided with free refreshments. I offered to forego room service due to only staying for two evenings which they provided a free drinks token at their bar. When sitting for breakfast on Christmas day, they very kindly offered a complimentary mimosa once dining, which was a lovely touch. . Luggage Safekeeping - Upon check-out I wished to visit HMY Britannia just a short walk away from the hotel. The reception staff very kindly arranged safekeeping of my belongings whilst I visited, despite checking-out at the time. In essence, no request is too taxing for the staff and they endeavour to help at all times with a real can-do attitude. Thank you for making my first stay in Scotland so enjoyable!

I am just staying a couple of nights while visiting Edinburgh. This hotel is in an ideal location and a convenient ride on a bus into the City Centre. The room was nice but was cold as the electric heater wasn't switched on. I found out how to turn it on but it took a long time to heat the room as it's only small. I turned it off overnight as I could hear it working. This morning breakfast was excellent with lots of choice. All staff have been excellent. I had a perfectly hot bath this evening as I had been out in the rain all day. I will definitely be back if I am in the area again.

First time here. I like that its a bit out of town away from the crowds. Just a 10min drive gets you right back into it. The restaurants, coffee shops, & views out here are great. Room was lovely. The shower was hot & I took a long one with no issue. That's always my fave. Bed was comfy & staff made it every day since we opted out of the discount to skip service. If you like you can & thru give you a drinks credit. But we dont really drink. Also who doesn't love a nice made room after a long day walking around. Would recommend to others who want to visit Edinburgh. There is scaffolding on the building right now. Bit ugly but upkeep happens. Free parking right behind hotel was nice to have.

Free parking was a bonus, rooms very clean and comfortable. No fuss service and an excellent restaurant. Great location with a short drive into the main city. Docks were well worth a walk around.

Lovely hotel on the river front. Close walk to pubs and bars and nicely located overall. Staff were friendly, very nice lady at check-in. Dinner was nice, breakfast was nice but no haggis and service was slow that morning. I think haggis should be served in a Scottish hotel if you have black pudding why not haggis? Overall good stay, I'll stay again if local to there working. Thanks

Very friendly and helpful staff. Plenty of restaurants and cafes nearby if you want to dine out. Free parking. My room was clean but the toilet seat wouldn't stay up and the shower tap was loose so kept going from hot to warm. I would happily stay again.

It's our third stay in this hotel and third time it's not quite right. The decor of the hotel, general looks and cleanliness are great. The location in the centre of Leith is brilliant too, short taxi ride to the city centre, and plenty cafes and restaurants around. There's also a free car park by the hotel, which is great. Unfortunately there are many disappointments too. The rooms are dark, they meant to be mood-light, but it's just too dark. The bathroom lighting is poor too. The floorboards squeak terribly, I'm glad we weren't below our room. The bed is comfortably firm, but the mattress shakes so much that if one person moves, the other feels like on a rocking boat. The shower thermostat was broken as well. The quality of food and drink is the same as in all Malmaison, generally very good, but also incredibly expensive. There are so many options around the hotel we stopped using any of the hotel services, all paid extra, and get a breakfast in a cafe across the road instead. It's a good location for a short getaway, and significantly cheaper than the city centre, but the advertised luxury is hard to find.

We had a great stay here, it was our wedding anniversary and it really didnβt disappoint. We had a beautiful room which was very spacious but homely with nice views. The hotel was very clean, had very nice decor and general has a lovely feel to it. The staff where very helpful and friendly too. Would definitely stay again
