A splendid park for wildlife and local heritage, I spent a good few hours walking around the woods, meadows and exploring its ruins such as it's walled garden and old stables. It's close to the airport but still a real peaceful place, with a number of ancient trees and wetland areas dotted across the park. There's a wee coffee and cake van for refreshments at the main entrance that's lovely, but do keep in mind very limited toilet facilities in the park with none open on my Sunday visit.

This is a great place to walk your dog(s) and see some interesting historical ruins along the way. It’s popular with dog walkers all year round. There are a number of routes marked out throughout the sprawling estate, however there is no requirement to follow the markers. Keep your eyes open and alert as you meander through the woods because there is a variety of wildlife to spot and delight you. Car parking facilities are provided but I have yet to find toilets or a cafeteria etc which is a shame as you could spend a whole day exploring the area , weather permitting … these facilities would be a much appreciated enhancement to the overall experience. The route shown in the photo is a relatively short one of approximately 1 hour.

First time exploring Cammo Estate and what a lovely serene place it was. Meandering meadows and woodland walks, dotted with ruins and a wee lake. It's quite small but perfect for an afternoon exploring. Toilets were open nearby the Leaf and Bean coffee van (on a Sunday, check opening times as I think they vary). Will definitely come back!

Lovely Climate and place for walking, tricking and dogs walk. Beautiful nature and good place for photography. Best time to visit is summer and spring. Every one will love the place and it's for all kinds of ages. One of the best place fore picnics in open space and outdoors.

A hidden gem on the outer skirts of Edinburgh. It’s a huge park with lots to explore and discover. From several plants to many ruins- it makes quite a picturesque park. It is free to enter and a great place to explore. There’s also a nearby tower which is also worthwhile to take a closer look. Very well kept nature estate and would definitely recommend for a sunny day out

We love Cammo for walking our dog - there's a real mix of woodland walk, field walking and paths. There are usually quite a lot of dogs and families, but it's never too busy. They've also recently started bringing a coffee van to Cammo, so an added bonus of a hot drink!

Always a delight! Very muddy, and excellent exploration for our 3 year old son, 3 year old lab and 15 week old puppy! Sunday evening was most definitely bath night for all!

Always a joy. Dodged light rain in trees, not too busy or muddy. Lovely colours and light when sun came out. Enjoy before developers take over

This is a very calm place, a place you can sit under a tree on a nice day and just watch the clouds go by. Not a sound here but birds and the very distant murmur of traffic and life. Loved it here a place for walking the dog and relaxing.

Good place for a walk, not too muddy and a few inclines but nothing really hard. Could also be a good place to walk dogs. Quite scenic and interesting.
