   I often visit Clifton in Bristol for its quaint shops and fantastic eateries. My favourite place has to be Instep Shoe Shop. I’ve had the pleasure of owning several pairs of Jeffrey West boots and Barker shoes from there, each one perfect in every way. You’re always greeted by the owner, Stephen — an absolute gentleman. He’s incredibly helpful, gracious, and nothing is ever too much trouble. The quality of the shoes is excellent, and the customer service is equally outstanding. Just a note to say thank you.    Visited for the first time and was in need of some nice suit shoes. Due to my work I wear suit shoes daily and do approximately 10k steps a day. The owner was extremely helpful and supportive. He was welcoming and even invited my friends inside with our dog! I highly recommend to visit the store if you are in need for some shoes and 5 stars customer service.

   Lovely shop selling beautiful Italian made footwear and bags in the heart of Clifton village. Believe the designs are unique to this shop. The owner, Stephen is very friendly and was very patient with me with a recent exchange. Couldn't have been more helpful. The place to go in Bristol for quality and elegance, but also on-trend footwear.

   This store has an amazing range of ladies and men’s shoes. Styles that you just don’t see in your large chain shops. Grant was the young man I dealt with and he was extremely helpful without being pushy. He understood what I was looking for and made useful suggestions. I left Instep with a beautiful pair of shoes which Grant also treated with suede protector for me. I help to manage a retail store and it’s hard to judge whether customers want your undivided attention or if you should leave them for a while; Grant has it just right. I will definitely be returning soon.

   As soon as we entered we were chased doggedly by the two salesman who wanted a quick purchase and quick exit. They wouldn't let us browse. This was an hour before closing. Not a great experience. Bit of a shame. Probably won't come back to be honest.
