Concept: My latest non-working weekday was on 09/06 when I returned from holidays in Cyprus. I needed urgently a short break. I asked leave on 15/08, did my weekly shopping, cooked spaghetti, and had some rest. On 16/08, I woke up early with positive mood to visit Lydney. I left Newport at 10:11 and arrived in Lydney at 11:30. I walked to the town centre. Before starting taking photos the amazing landscapes, I needed breakfast and coffee. Timing of visit: Saturday 16/08, 12:05-12:40. Order: A cappuccino, a tomato/cheese/onion toastie and a Victoria sponge cake. Price: Β£13.75. Quality of coffee: Excellent (7*). Quality of toastie: It was so so so so ... good (8*). Quality of cake: Perfect (7*). Method of payment: Debit card. Staff: Welcoming, attentive, enthusiastic (7*). Service: Good (6*). Atmosphere: I stayed in a table outdoors and it was great (7*).

Stopped for light lunch while visiting Lydney on a gorgeous spring day. Had my dog with me so was looking for somewhere dog friendly. Couldn't see anywhere obvious, so took a gamble on this cafe in the middle of the park. Turned out to be a great choice. Lovely peaceful location, friendly accomodating staff and good food. The menu is a perhaps a little limited, but sufficient options for a light breakfast or lunch and a good range of appetising cakes. Would definitely recommend a visit

Frequently enjoy coffee and a snack in the friendliest cafe in Lydney. There is always a warm welcome from Trudie and staff. The cafe is delightfully situated in the middle of Lydneyβs fantastic Bathurst Park, and offers hot and cold drinks, ice cream, light lunches and more. Canβt recommend it highly enough.

We ordered 2 jackets with cheese and beans. One of them had hair in it. Disgusting. We ordered a slice of chocolate cake and it was really bitter. Inedible. The service was slow, took two kids to work a till. Just below par really. Won't be back.

I popped in with an eighteen month old grandson. He had a lovely time in the kids corner. Coffee and cake for myself was excellent. The staff were very friendly. They have a loyalty card which will definitely be used. The baby changing facilities good and clean. We will be back.

Just wanted a bowl of soup. Walked in here to find several choices of soup. Which was delicious and came with the best cheese scone Iβve had for a long time. Lovely enthusiastic staff.

First visit to this lovely cafe with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. We enjoyed the best cheese scones we have ever tasted, absolutely delicious and the coffee blend pretty good too. We will be back!
