   I never have a bad meal here! My go-to is one of the amazing slices of pie, but there is a good range of home-cooked pub food on offer at reasonable prices considering the portion sizes and quality. It has a warm, cosy atmosphere (especially this time of year with the log burner going!) and the staff are lovely too. Highly recommend a visit.

   Popped in for a drink. Brilliant welcome and hospitality. Went back had a ploughman’s. Amazing. Highly recommended. Lunchtime is busy. Beautiful garden area too. Staff are soo nice and friendly

   Just stopped in on the way home. Excellent selection of food. We had the Salmon and Chicken skewers. Both meals came with undressed salad, which was disappointing, though it didn't state that the salad would be dressed, so perhaps my own expectations are unreasonable. The portion size was big enough, without being massive. Sadly, the chicken was rather chewy and fairly tasteless, served with chips (which were good) and coleslaw (which was average) However, the salmon was lovely. Served with hollandaise sauce, new potatoes and peas, all of which were perfect. The wait time for food was around 10-15mins. All in it was roughly £35 which is pretty reasonable for 2 meals and 2 pints of soft drink. The main annoyance I personally had was that there was a group of locals in the corner getting drunk, which were rather loud. But... It's a pub. What else would you expect? If I'm ever passing by at dinner time again I'll be sure to stop in. Aside from the chewy chicken and loud locals it was excellent

   Lovely pub. Each and every staff member are a credit to the company. We ate twice in the week we were down in the area for Pirate Mania I would certainly recommend it to any one who's staying in the area.

   Great pub, a little tired but happy friendly staff. There is plenty of parking, lovely old fashioned beer garden with amble tables and sun umbrellas. We eat here prices reasonable, food quality good. We will certainly return.

   What a great little pub! There was a warm and friendly atmosphere with a very good choice of food on the menu, and the proportions were great. And the beer was good too. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.

   Great Sunday lunch, heard a lot about it but never got there untill this week, we sat in the public bar as restaurant booked out but lovely local pub atmosphere and food was first class and good value for money, well worth a visit but if on a Sunday need to book first
