Loved it! Visited the area for a day of hiking and stopped here for lunch. It came recommended and I can see why! Stunning building (with an incredible tree surrounding the front door!), beautiful interior and a gorgeous sun trap garden out the back. The food was absolutely delicious! A bit on the pricier side, but well worth it — I’d rather pay a little more for great quality. Superb, very friendly and attentive service from George and Lulu, they’re a credit to the team! It’s great to come to a really decent pub with a nice feel to it. Warm and welcoming, not snobby or chaotic. Currently enjoying a glass of wine before I hoof it back to the campsite. I live relatively nearby, so I’ll definitely be coming back again! :)

Still a Gorgeous pub and going strong. Tonight it was filled with families enjoying the space. Great bar staff, good selection of drinks. Food looks amazing we didn't have time to eat this evening but I look forward to trying the menu.

Just home from a fab stay at The Kings Arms. We were given an upgrade to the King's room, it is HUGE. I'd pay the extra for this room next time, though I'm sure the other rooms are beautiful too. The room was spotlessly clean, the linen beautiful and of good quality and the bed and furniture extremely comfortable. The staff were all amazing, friendly, helpful and attentive. We don't consider ourselves high maintenance guests but I get the feeling that nothing would have been too much trouble. The food. We ate in the restaurant in the evening and had a beautiful meal. We opted to have our main first followed by a starter which was no trouble at all. The food was tasty and beautifully presented. Several cuts above your standard pub grub though there was a burger or fish and chips on the menu too. Breakfast was excellent. Quality food, cooked, presented and served by staff who clearly care. My husband and I rarely visit a place twice, just because we like to try new places, but have both agreed we would like to come here.

Lovely place to stay and eat. Great room with lovely accessories for our use from tea/coffee and fresh milk in the fridge. To the lovely smelling shower gel and hand wash. The welcome for our dog was so nice. The food was great for Sunday lunch and for breakfast. We found some beautiful walks very close by. We would definitely stay here again . Highly recommend

Beautiful building, apparently the most haunted pub in Wiltshire but I didn’t see any ghosts. Really entertaining staff… we had a fantastic meal, even my humble fish and chips was cooked to perfection and my partner’s pork belly was delicious and beautifully presented… puds were also delicious…. Highly recommended

They had run out of vegetarian options for the Sunday roast meaning I had to share the singular portion with my husband. Would have been more than happy to have an alternative option that wasn't on the menu that met our dietary requirements, but there was none. The meal we did have was tasty. Very nice setting.

Stayed here with our dog after a day in Bath. The food was amazing, cooked to perfection with lots of flavour. One of the best meals we’ve had.. and we eat out a lot! We were served by the lovely husband and wife (sorry we didn’t get your names!), they made us feel so welcome and we enjoyed chatting with them. Thank you, we really can’t wait to come back to this fabulous pub.

We stayed in one of the cottages and it was fantastic, had everything we could possibly need and more. Our dog was welcome no extra charge which was great, normally we pay extra for the dog. Breakfast was delicious and the staff were all super friendly, we will definitely be back!

Amazing stay, we absolutely loved everything about the kings arms. The setting is a beautiful little village and the building has a very interesting history, the rooms are amazing and super comfortable. The staff are friendly, marcos the owner was such a nice person. We got put into the bishops room for the night which was bigger than what we had booked. We then booked a table for food and drinks and it was all magnificent. We will definitely be planning a trip to stay here again.

Fantastic! We randomly popped here for Sunday lunch rather than fighting with the Traffic in Bath and it was delightful. The staff were all super friendly and full of character. Gorgeous pub dog too! We had starters, Sunday roast and dessert and all were faultless, clearly prepared with fresh ingredients. The Roasts (Beef & Pork) were exceptional and the best we’ve had a in a long time. The separate veg (carrots, Parnsips, Green Beans) wasn’t over cooked, with the beans having that nice ‘squeak’ when you bit into them. Whilst not quite having enough room for the chocolate fudge cake we ordered it anyway and again were impressed, right up there. One of the best eating experiences in a long time, will definitely be back!
