   A good find for staying away when working in the Bristol area. Room was comfortable with decent quality kettle/toaster etc. Nice to have a good selection for breakfast in the room which meant I could help myself as and when rather than being restricted to certain times. Bed was very comfortable. My only complaint about the room was that the bathroom was a little compact which made it challenging for a taller person. The first night I stayed, I ate in the pub and the food was good and reasonably priced. The open fire made for a nice cosy setting. Would definitely stay again.

   Great place was there for 2 nights on business stayed in the dancers room was very pleased with ,the facilities and provided breakfast. We ate in the pub for both nights great food was not disappointed hope to stay again when I am in the area . Thank you

   Called in at the end of a long days walk along the Severn Way. Lovely traditional village pub with a warm welcome and nice open fire. Good service, nice range of beers well kept, and good food. The locals were very welcoming and it was quite busy for an early Monday evening. I would happily go back there if I was in the area.

   Nice pub with lovely food, particularly nice brownie for dessert! However I would avoid coming if you have both a child and a dog with you over the winter as the dog friendly section (bar) doesn’t allow kids and the dining room (child friendly) doesn’t allow dogs! Only option is therefore outside !! This seemed a bit silly as we had a 4 month old baby with us who wasn’t exactly going to be running around the bar area. Luckily for us it was a sunny day at the end of September so we were able to sit outside, however we now wouldn’t be able to attend until spring/summer next year! For this reason we wouldn’t feel very welcomed to return.

   I absolutely adore this place! The garden is the best part if the weather cooperates! The food is fantastic! Highly recommend the garlic bread! Excellent service. Gorgeous setting! Worth the drive for sure

   Great country pub. Good menu at reasonable prices. Open fire in the winter and a beautiful garden in the summer. Plenty of car parking. I would definitely recommend.

   Used the pub as a stop over on the drive to Cornwall. Fabulous room, Dancer suite, with lovely views and bird song in the morning. We ate in the pub which was cosy and popular with locals for an early evening get together. Food was tasty and well cooked. Staff were friendly and polite. Highly recommended.

   I really don't know why we've not visited so much we live close enough amazing Sunday lunch (evening sitting) by log fire Fantastic value for money beef was excellent kids obviously had burgers which were juicy and flavoursome. Staff brilliant too. Will make it a regular trip .

   If you are a vegetarian or a vegan looking for a Sunday roast do not go here. Our experience for our Sunday roast was embarrassingly appalling. We asked for vegetarian options for Sunday roast. They simply removed the meat just like it used to be in the eighties! There was no alternative offered and when we suggested a bean burger as a meat replacement we were told the kitchen couldn’t cope with that! There was no gravy for vegetarians and to add insult to injury they charged us the same amount as the meat eaters! When I approached the pub my complaint was met with no apology or empathy. Just an accusation that I couldn’t complain about something that wasn’t on the menu! This is exactly my point. Why isn’t it on the menu? Very poor customer service. What a shame and missed opportunity to cater for those who don’t eat meat!
