I stayed here on NYE for a wedding booking.com had messed me up but Dave got everything sorted for me. And when I arrived the Hostess Christina couldn’t of been more perfect she helped me in every way she could and I will definitely be staying again
Great location for us on this visit. Very small pub, but nice. Bar person was nice. Strong smell of dogs throughout the pub and rooms, so it was not too nice for us. Would we stay again ? Probably not.
Lovely friendly and cozy pub. Really nice staff. The food was good and not too expensive. I went on a nostalgia trip and had scampi in a basket (lovely) and my partner had the pie which he really enjoyed. The drinks are very reasonably priced. We had a really pleasant evening here.
The first time I've been here I was just looking for a place to sleep that wasn't to expensive. But in the end, I've made friends, I've had great fun, great food and great drinks. When I'm travelling to Wales, I wouldn't stay anywhere else. The owner Dave is a good man, always up for a chat, giving travelling tips, local places to go and historical facts about the place ! All the people working there are pure gems, kind, human and always good fun ! As for the clients you can meet there, some of the regulars are also very kind people, up for a nice conversation. So thank you, Coach and Horses, and thank you everyone that are working hard to make sure this is the very nice place I love to stay at !
Just had a fantastic stay at the Coach and Horses, Chepstow. A great location in the town with a large public car park behind it and a twenty minute walk to the race course. The rooms were well proportioned, clean and comfortable. The food was superb and the staff were friendly, professional and extremely helpful. All in all I had a thoroughly enjoyable stay and I will be back again in the future.
Had a fab one night stay here, wish it was longer, we will definitely be back. The place is laid back and very friendly and especially dog friendly. Our 2 spaniels loved their stay as well, maybe it was the treats they were given. During our stay we had lunch, dinner and breakfast, all the food was really nice. A great selection of ciders and gins and a lovely pint of Marstons pedigree. Our room had a nice warm shower ,really comfy bed and Netflix on the TV.
A proper pub with so much character. Decent little selection of drink available. The food is out of this world! Highly recommend the coach burger. The young lady working behind the bar couldn't do enough for us and was very friendly and approachable. 10/10 experience couldn't fault anything, will definitely be returning
Quaint Pub with lodging upstairs. Friendly staff and clean accommodations. The room was small, and a super tiny shower but it was all we needed which suited us fine. We were surprised at how quiet it was given it was above the pub. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.
Wonderful stay. Welcomed by lovely young lady upon arrival. Clean room with shared bath was great value. Small seating but great experience. all of Chepstow walkable and inn is near the castle. Owner greeted us in morning after breakfast with comment one of our party did mot finish our breakfast so would not be charged. Great service. Engaging conversation with owner was a delight. Highly recommend.
We brought our dogs here for a doggy birthday party and some lunch. The staff were really good and gave us a secluded part of the pub so that we didn’t disturb the other patrons. We all stayed for lunch and a couple of drinks. The food was a lovely and arrived reasonably quickly. The bangers and mash portion size was absolutely massive! We enjoyed our visit and really appreciated the enthusiasm and patience of the staff with us and our dogs. We’ll be back!
