   Booked a table for a meal, ordered 4 x steak and ale, were informed after 5 minutes they had none, this is at 7.05 pm. The waitress advised us that the Cornish pasties were made of the same ingredients ! Ended up with fish n chips and duck, which to be fair was very nice. The waitress service was atrocious despite constantly asking if we could have some attention, tried to order but were ignored. We were the only four eating and 3 waitress,s. Very disappointed

   Another delicious lunch at The Ship today. We enjoy the all day roast and today, my husband had the lamb. I tried the pork belly with cider gravy and will do so again. 2 excellent meals for £18. Good meat and veg cooked very well. There's a nice atmosphere, it's comfortable, and the staff are lovely.

   Had a lovely meal with my Mum, Great value and wide choice of food. Recent refurbishment real success. Great colour scene and chairs were very comfortable. Staff were so friendly and helpful could not fault quality of service.

   Very accommodating, good food, good prices. The lady at the bar was very nice (didn't catch her name) and the staff helped us get home safely. Can't recommend The Ship enough! If visiting from the Celtic Manor, be careful since it's dangerous to walk there. Driving is a must.

   Never had a bad experience here. The Sunday roast is beautiful fair play. Always a great selection of desserts to choose from which is always a plus in my eyes. I believe that they've had new owners since we came here last, but the food on Sunday was exquisite to say the least. I'll definitely be returning here again in the future without a shadow of a doubt. Highly recommended.

   Had the Christmas menu tonight for 7 of us. Food was fantastic no complaints from anyone. The portions were so big, containers were provided for leftovers. The staff were so friendly and helpful nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommended.

   I don't often do reviews but this is well deserved. Went with my family this evening & it was excellent! Staff very attentive, probably the most efficient & friendly I've seen. Food was excellent very good portions & the first time I've had curry sauce in a little pan with my cod & chips, it was so big I couldn't eat it all! Thank you for an excellent meal & great service!
