Such great people. Everyone we worked with--receptionists, nurses, vets--were very caring, careful, and clear. I really felt they cared about my cat (and us). Really grateful to have found this wonderful practice.

We were shocked to be charged an extortionate £304 for our dog's Animal Health Certificate (AHC) to travel abroad. After paying the fee yesterday, I checked prices at other Edinburgh clinics and found they range from £150 to £210. When we returned today to collect the paperwork, I asked whether the high fee included services like microchipping or vaccinations—things our dog didn’t need. Unfortunately, I was told that £304 is their standard price for the AHC alone. £304 for what amounts to a 15-minute appointment and maybe another 15 minutes to fill out the certificate feels completely unreasonable.

Lovely staff, knowledgable vets! I especially love the separate cat waiting area so that my cats aren’t stressed by the dogs that may be in at the same time. Everyone I’ve interacted with has been very kind and helpful.

Just phoned this vets and don’t think I’ve ever spoken to such a polite helpful receptionist. She was so helpful and kind. I have just registered so hopefully I get appointment for my new Kitten. The receptionist name is Carrie I look forward to visiting the vets. I feel very relieved about going now.

It’s taken me a while to write this review but the team at West End Vets were lovely when our cat was seriously unwell. They gave us an emergency appointment, stayed open after hours and let us take our time saying goodbye. They then thoughtfully sent us a memento (photos). Thank you!

All round have been totally unimpressed with the service we’ve received from this veterinary practice to the point we are forced to leave and register elsewhere. Our puppy had an emergency where he ingested a poisonous substance and we were forced to take him out of hour to the animal hospital where he was treated and given a short supply of treatment along with a prescription to pick up from our vets. Upon notifying our vets of this they made minimal effort to accommodate our request and when my partner eventually arrived to collect the prescription having run out of the short supply provided by the out of hours hospital was met with a sarcastic comment around the prescription only being ordered yesterday - unsure how we could have ordered any sooner given it was an emergency… the out of hours hospital also prescribed two weeks of treatment and despite making it clear to this practice that he’s only received one and a half days treatment they would only prescribe another 10 days. Will not be returning to this practice.

Always so helpful and kind when I go in. The front desk staff always seem to excited to see the pets when they come in and it seems like some of the dogs are keen to get pets. A good sign in my books. My cat actually enjoys her visits, may have to do with all the treats!

The staff in here are so lovely and have 100% focus on your pets' issue. Been to several vets but this one is my favourite.

I have visited both this and the Davidson's Mains practice and have always been met with just amazing approach and the most helpful attitude from all staff. My cat underwent dental surgery with West End Vets and throughout the process, they've been easy to communicate with (email but also phonecalls), really helpful, providing additional advice when needed. Despite the fact that my cat's teeth were in quite a bad state as I haven't been able to afford her care due to financial difficulties, nobody has ever judged me at this clinic and they've been super understanding about everything. Their prices are reasonable and I feel comfortable knowing that they charge for good quality work and provide the best care (my cat has received painkillers and antibiotics to help with recovery and has been kept comfortable through this process). My cat is recovering well and I'm looking forward to the check up, because I know it will be a safe and positive experience without shame. I've dealt with many vets who didn't treat me well once they realised I was financially struggling and it's made a world of difference to be treated like a human who wants the best for their pet, now that they can afford it. Thank you for everything you do for us!!

I have asked so many vets and west end is the only one who is able to help me to export this beautiful girl to China. Hannah, the official vet is very professional and patient to do the whole certificate process. I am quite impressed with the staff here. Now this little girl is in China and I got her a pair of duck for her to play. She is brilliant. 出口宠物请找他们
