Excellent service from Paul and his team when we bought a used car from Auto Scuderia. Paul listened to us and resolved any concerns with professionalism and in a friendly, courteous manner. Our buying experience was as smooth as the coat on Paul's dog!

My experience at Auto Scuderia was absolutely terrible. The staff were extremely rude from the moment I walked in. They acted like they didnβt want to deal with me and never gave me a chance to ask basic questions about the car. Every time I tried to speak, they cut me off or ignored me completely. The way I was treated felt discriminative and completely unprofessional. No respect, no honesty, and no effort to help. It was clear they had already judged me before even listening to what I needed. Auto Scuderia is the kind of place that makes you regret even stepping through the door. If you value your time, your money, and being treated like a human being, avoid Auto Scuderia at all costs. They do not deserve any customerβs business.

I broke down on North Street without any breakdown cover, so I was a bit worried about using a garage I wasnβt familiar with. I was instantly reassured by the kind lady at receptionβshe was so helpful and understanding. They even lent me a hire car, which made a stressful situation so much easier. The Motor Mechanic were very knowledgeable and professional too. I canβt recommend them highly enoughβIβve definitely found myself a new garage

Absolutely horrendous service from start to finish, feel let down and worried for others that will go with this garage! BEWARE! Our car needed a service for MOT, we were expecting there to be the odd thing here and there to pay for, however we did not expect to receive such awful customer service. It's sad that a company can act in such a way. From the moment the car was dropped off, we have been met with defensive attitudes and terrible customer service. We asked that they kindly do not carry out the works until we could confirm we could afford to pay, they replied 'its too late now' and gave us our bill. The lady on the phone had attitude and sounded defensive and rude from the get go. I asked her why she was so angry and she said she was over worked. I felt bad for her and said not to worry. We paid the bill and collected the car, we drove off and the passenger door light came on to say it was unlocked, we then noticed the locking system was down and we couldn't lock our doors. We called the garage, they sounded annoyed and as if it was our fault. We explained we had never has issues with the locking system before. I called the lady in the office, she said we could bring it back in, I explained that it wasn't broken before and that it needed to be sorted as we had just paid a large bill and they had broken it. We went to collect this afternoon where we were met by three men that were sitting around that said it wasn't their fault, it was ours and that we had to have a quote by them to fix it. It felt like they had staged the whole situation and knew they had broken it. We feel sad that we put trust in a company we don't know as we are new to the area, we will never use them again and hope this makes you question their services before taking your vehicle in. We feel extremely let down, shame on you Auto Scuderia.

I'd be really careful before booking an MOT with Auto Scuderia. I can't verify their other services and do not normally leave reviews but feel on this occasion it warrants it. As others have mentioned they were lovely on the phone and really friendly on arrival, they also booked in at short notice and mentioned a discount scheme they run for the MOT which sounded like great news. After the MOT I got a call to say that various issues needed immediate intention, some quite serious: these included brakes [pads, discs and uneven wear]; rear suspension arm, full exhaust replacement; plus a couple of minor things. Total cost [not including MOT] just under Β£800. This seemed a lot so after consideration I decided to take it to another local garage for a second opinion. On arrival there I noticed the noise of the exhaust which seemed much more prominent than it had when I took the car in. I'm saying "seemed" because this could be subjective and I want to try to be fair. And Auto Scuderia did say it needed replacing. The second garage ran another MOT and rang later that day. Prognosis: Brakes fine, well within limits, no play; suspension arms fine. Only rear section of exhaust needed replacing - "looks like a screwdriver's been pushed through it." Which, in fairness, shows it needed replacing anyway. Oh, and a faulty boot lid catch. Total cost [including MOT]: Β£175. I don't know about this disparity. Both garages seemed fine, I didn't get a sense from the outset that either were out of the ordinary. Yet one provided a legal document certifying the vehicle as meeting required standards for one quarter of the cost of the other. It does seem telling that Auto Scuderia offered an attractive cheap upfront cost for an MOT but then assessed there was lots of work necessary to pass and the other offered an MOT which was initially more expensive but the overall price ended up much cheaper. Anyway, you can draw your own conclusions but I'd add that the car, some months later, is running very nicely and, given the current cost of fuel, to have saved on the garage fees is very welcome indeed!

A knowledgeable and honest car dealer. Basically I bought the car in my head after I finished talking to Paul on the phone. The car was exactly how he described it and I purchased without feeling pressured. I'd recommend that some car sales persons in the South West go a ask these guys for a flash-course in customer service. My opinions, based on personal experience: *You're dealing with a family business that respects itself. *Really nice cars in stock, if a smidge over the market average price wise. *Flexible enough when negotiating the asking price though. *6 months warranty offered on the purchase, plus they accept you taking the car to a garage of choice if you're not from around there. Not the main dealers, obviously. *Part exchange done fairly and without fuss. *Helpful and confidence inspiring. Conclusion: Over time I bought cars from various dealers in Devon& Cornwall and was rarely impressed. Some of them are only after your money and don't care about you after signing on the dotted line. I'm pleased to report that doing business with Paul was a breath of fresh air. So far I'm happy with the service from Auto Scuderia, but will post updates should anything change.
