   End of a canal just in the middle of Edinburgh's busy business district nothing fancy but a nice and calm walk by the canal basin. There are a number of boats and a few swans always strolling around the water body. I didn't see a lot of pubs or restaurants here but a number of apartment complexes surround this area. I would prefer coming on a weekend evening during the summer months for a more fulfilling and relaxing walk around the canal. Do pay a visit all if you are visiting Edinburgh.

   End of canal, basin with a few canal boats moored up. The Shops & restaurants empty & up for rent at the moment. Hopefully will be new ones soon once all the building work is complete.

   Loved staying here on my boat and people watching as quite a busy to watch. Easy to get to town from here and Marchmont and all it's cafes in Morningside too. The meadows ark is also there A visit to the print works is a must. The no.34 and 35 buses runs from the bottom of the road. These take you to Leith and the Royal match Britannia.

   The Edinburgh terminus of the Union Canal. It's a nice place to stop and rest if you've walked along the canal, with nice views of the moored narrowboats. There are lots of cafes, pubs, shops and other amenities in nearby Fountainbridge or Tollcross.

   Beautiful hidden spot in the heart of Edinburgh. Great jump of point for walks and cycling and a brilliant shortcut through town. Lots of nature and very peaceful.
