   Second visit to the cafe and both experiences have been identical. Serving area is filthy, and not a busy morning filthy but several days filthy. One poor girl doing everything while four or five others hide around the back. If you try to get their attention they'll deliberately turn away. Not one single table cleaned, cutlery is all filthy. Probably the worst run M&S cafe in Scotland.

   A busy Friday lunchtime visit, but full choice of food available and staff doing well to ensure tables were cleared and ready as quickly as possible. I usually have a sandwich from the fridge but chose the warm ciabatta with halloumi & avocado today - it took a few minutes to arrive, but worth the wait. Generous amount of halloumi , really tasty flavours with the avocado & a tomato-y relish.

   I have just been in looking for a belt. There were none on display but one assistant remembered that there some in the back. She found someone to go and look for me. The next assistant brought me a selection to look at and I chose one. I spoke to three separate members of staff and they were all very helpful and friendly.(Everyone is normally helpful but today’s search was outwith my usual needs). Thank you!!

   I’m not a huge fan of craighleith retail park - it’s a sadly depressing place and given it was built on one of the most important quarry’s - they completely overwrote its history. However, M&S is the shining light - everything is done well here from customer service to the cafe and the clothes store. I once witnessed a woman fall over faint in 2024 and the speed and kindness the staff treated her with deserves to be commended. My go-to in Edinburgh if taking the family for a cafe outing.

   This review is for the cafe.The service was OK,it was a little slow.We ordered 2 toasties that came out a little burnt and as for the chips they were blooming AWFUL.They were clearly out of a box of French fries taken off the shop floor and microwaved as they were soggy and just plain NASTY.The cafe itself is nice and bright but we won't be rushing back

   30 mins in a queue to get a coffee. One member of staff doing everything. It’s not customer service. It’s not a new problem. It’s been steadily getting worse for over 5 years!

   Great foothall with a good selection of items and lots of offers. There was a slight mix up with one of the offers I bought and the manageress on the floor rectified it immediately on it being brought to her attention. The other members of staff were really friendly and polite.
