We couldn't stay overnight but popped in for Breakfast at 7:30am on a Saturday as last time it was so good. It was a Brilliant Breakfast again. Full English for £10.90 (Dec 25) The quality, range and service were excellent. The Sausage was more than an inch in diameter as tasted gorgeous. Don't think we will be able to eat until tomorrow.

Unfortunately very poor service and quality of food after a positive experience in the restaurant last year. Not enough experienced staff, and manager nowhere to be seen on a Saturday night. Inexperienced staff did not have a clue how to provide any level of customer service - no apologies or sense of urgency to rectify the delays in our food (we were waiting over an hour just for starters and when asked how much longer they would be were told to just 'wait for longer' by our waiter). I am not one to complain usually but this was so bad it warranted a review - we should not have paid the full amount, and certainly were offended by a service charge being added on to the bill when we received no service at all and complained. Food very disappointing too - particularly main courses. Mash was dry, vegetables soggy and tagine tasteless.

Stayed here as part of our Cotswold way walk. Friendly and efficient check in, and shown to our room where our luggage had already been deposited... a first so far on the 6 places we have stayed in. The room was very comfortable. Ate in the restaurant this evening and although kitchen service was pretty slow tbh, the food was great when it arrived and the waiters and waitress were very friendly and helpful.

Can highly recommend. We were on very tight timescale, looking for a quick bite to eat, and staff couldn't have been more welcoming and obliging. Food was served really quickly, with no compromise on quality. Thank you so much for friendly, 5 star service.

We wanted somewhere to meet friends midweek, comfortable, relaxed and welcoming. The Swan ticked all those boxes. Parking was easy, there is both on road and a good sized car park less than 2 minutes walk. The Swan is old fashioned in style and quirky with undeveloped floors and walls. The range of drinks was very good, well presented and priced with a helpful barman. The lounge was clean and warm with a changing clientele over the course of the evening. We would definitely recommend meeting friends for drinks in the lounge.

We booked Granny into the Swan as we eat there regularly and love the cosy welcoming atmosphere. No surprise then that she loved the personable local family atmosphere during her stay. Breakfast and a superb dinner were particular highlight and nothing was too much trouble for the Swan team. The room was spacious, quirky but beautifully maintained and cleaned. Granny can't wait to come back again.

Was here for a two-night stay for work. This charming and comfortable property was a great choice. My room was spacious, comfortable and very well-appointed. The shower was excellent and bed comfortable. The staff were exemplary. They were, without exception, friendly, professional, and welcoming. Pub was enjoyable and breakfast options plentiful.

Another great stay at The Swan. All the staff are friendly and helpful. A special Thank You to Cameron for his thoughtful email to warn me that Market Street is currently closed. There is a good selection of Thatchers Ciders, Gins and Whisky. Their food menu is very tempting and we will be back to try it. The rooms have always been clean, tidy and a good size and are well decorated. We had the cooked breakfast and both were cooked to perfection.

I ate here on a Monday evening with my wife, two teenage children and parents in law. The food was excellent with a decent range of what I might call good quality/high end pub grub. I thoroughly enjoyed the slow roast brisket, the fish and chips was a well received and popular option in our group and my son enjoyed the hunter's chicken. We just stuck with starters and mains and left feeling nicely full. There was a decent range of classic deserts which were tempting but we had birthday cake waiting for us at home. Apart from the barman refusing to take a photo of our group (he was too busy at the bar apparently) the service was good. I liked the, what appeared to be recently refurbished, decor in the restaurant (bare brick with dark blue walls) although some might prefer a bit more natural light. I can imagine it being particularly welcoming once the cooler temperatures necessitate the lighting of the large wood burning stove in the restaurant. With a car park just round the corner driving to it was no problem although it prevented me sampling what appeared to be a lovely wine list. Would definitely recommend and I look forward to returning.
