The Royal George Hotel in Tintin has been recently refurbished, so the rooms are very clean and modern. They offer a good choice of quality meals to suit various tastes, and there's also a nice selection of lagers and beers. Overall, it's a comfortable and welcoming place.

Fantastic place to stay. The rooms were modern, tastefully decorated, had all the amenities you could ask for and were comfortable, although a little on the warm side. The staff were superb. Very friendly and welcoming. 3 restaurants to choose from including an outdoor pizza area and a very extensive wine list. 100% would recommend staying here. The food was delicious, served promptly and the breakfast was also very, very good. Huge selection to accommodate for all guests. A brilliant experience and we hope to revisit again soon. Keep up the exceptional work.

Brilliant pub and Brilliant rooms. Treated our dog like one of us and supplied us with more than we ever have been in the past. We were provided with a bed, towel, toy and food. All brilliant quality, so good our dog didn't want to leave. We found the room brilliant quality and had everything we needed and more. We found the food in the bar and for breakfast the best we have ever had. All the food was so well sauced and clearly not from masive suppliers they were so tasty you didn't need to add any sauce to it as it tasted so good as they were and iv never had that before. We feel we have found our little get away place for the future. All the staff went above and beyond to help. Thanks so much.

We stayed for two nights last week and had a great stay. A warm friendly welcome and great service throughout. We stayed in a garden balcony room which was grear for our needs with a super comfy bed. The restaurant and bar were good and the breakfast were excellent with a lovely selection. We would recommend this hotel and will hopefully return in 2026. A special mention to Kirsty who was so helpful during our stay.

Just returned from spending two nights at this wonderful hotel. It recently has undergone refurbishment which has been thoughtfully carried out. The rooms are very comfortable, big beds, excellent pillows. The amenities in the room are of the highest quality, including the little bottles of milk in the room fridge. The grounds are beautiful landscaped and are fully furnished with seating, outdoor heating and a pizza oven in an under cover area. The Upper Deck restaurant is of high quality, providing a menu that is fitting if the best restaurants, certainly recommend the roasted shallots as a side dish. Wine selection is excellent and reasonably priced. The bar area offers a wide selection of beers, wines and spirits. The staff are amazing, Kirsty the reception went above and beyond ensuring our stay was very pleasant. The location of the hotel is close to Tintern Abbey and some very nice walks and Chepstow is only 15 minutes away by car. Thank you The Royal George we will hopefully be returning for your wonderful hospitality.

This is a lovely place to go. I like the homely feel, that the staff were warm and friendly without being intrusive. Its lovely food, I had sausage and mash which I thought was done well and good value. I'll happily recommend to friends and family.

Went for dinner - did not stay there. Had a great meal here. Friendly and cheerful table service, including going above and beyond advising us on the vegan options. Was just expecting some regular pub grub and got a classy restaurant standard dinner. Vegan pie and veg. Spicy stir fry with tofu. Desserts. Real good.

One of our favourite venues and has never failed to impress. Great food, Sunday Lunch is a high point. Very friendly service and comfortable dining room. They are a very dog friendly Team. Our pooch is treated as a guest as much as we are.

We didn’t stay here, we booked a table for a Sunday roast. The service was shocking, and not once did the staff and there we a lot of them tell us why our meal took so long to be served. I cannot understand why restaurants cannot do the decent thing and communicate if there’s a problem - or offer a drink or such like to fill the gap as an apology for poor service. The restaurant decor is also very tired, they are charging top £ for what needs a good tidy up, the staff need more training - a really disappointing meal as they came highly recommended.
