Pleasant journey covering an hour round trip. Not always a lot to see with thick foliage and trees on both sides. The weir at the turning round point in Bathampton is very pretty though. A little bit pricey at £14 per person in my opinion.

The river cruise was a relaxing and scenic experience, offering beautiful views along the way. The atmosphere was peaceful, and the staff were friendly and welcoming.

Really enjoyed our impromptu boat trip. Gave a completely different view of Bath and surrounding countryside. We were lucky enough to see kingfishers and heron's and it was so peaceful and relaxing. Staff were great commentary was really informative and Boat Captain was excellent driver.

A wonderful experience! The chaps running it were obviously entrenched in local culture and gave really interesting facts about the environment and the river. It was very calming to just sit back and keep an eye out on the banks for kingfishers. (We saw 5 and they slowed the boat down each time so that we could get a better look!!) I would highly recommend this for anyone wanting a lovely peaceful cruise along the Avon!

Enjoyed a Pulteney Cruise in Bath Sunday 24th July. 2 boats are available (I forget their names), our had a forward seating area on the lower deck. Boarding is on the bank opposite Parade Gardens, the jetty steps are beside Beazer Garden Maze. Flat rate 2 adult fares, no concessions. Greeted by 2 members of staff and their dog we set off down the River Avon. An overhead PA system is used to give a historical and naturalistic tour of television river as you wend your way out of the city. Beneath Pulteney Bridge, past a boat house and out into the fields beyond. On our visit we didn't see the famed Otters but I did see a Heron and a very vibrant Kingfisher. We made our way to the weir at Bathampton but alas there was to be no disembarkation. We stay for a few minutes listening to the torrent of water and taking in the country air. A nice break from the hectic city bustle and a worthwhile addition to a 3/4 day weekend itinerary. Small dog was lovely too.

Really nice attraction. Worth the £11 just. The reason it loses one star is that I assumed it would take you down river and you would see bath from the the boat. Instead it takes you the only way it can go, up river. And you see see peoples back gardens and a weir at the end. It is nice and takes about 30mins. But not what I was expecting. The guide does give you some nice information on the cruise so it is pleasant. They serve goodies and alcohol on the boat too for refreshments. Nice small company so good to support them and take the trip.

Lovely little boat trip up the Avon, quite reasonably priced too. There isn't loads to see, but get the nice view of the buildings when you are leaving and returning the main part of Bath, and impressive weirs at both ends. Very tranquil, with all the dragon flies and bird wildlife. Food and drink served on board too; had a nice Pims, and wife G&T which was pretty reasonable too.

Traveling on my own felt welcomed I enjoyed the experience and the amount of interesting things you only get to see from the river. The crew was great and very informative I liked the fact the trip was more of a quiet relaxed trip leaving bath and on the return was more of a tour with information about things we were passing by which I thought was actually better as you get to enjoy the boat ride and then get a tour on way back. The only thing I found that could be improved is the speaker system I was sat on the side next to the next trip time board and with the sound of the boat traveling and people all around me I found it hard to hear what was being said. I really enjoyed my trip and recommend it when visiting bath.

Fantastic cruise down the river. The staff were lovely and friendly, informative and made the whole trip worth every penny. Great refreshments available on board including coffees and home made cake. There is plenty of seating, an on board cafe and toilet. Would recommend and revisit as it was a very enjoyable relaxing hour.
