Walked into a time warp going back in time. the place was very much a let down. Staffing wasnβt great food service was poor and the steak that was ordered was medium rare and got a well done. The string beans were bland and chips werenβt hot or fresh. The starter duck spring rolls were over cooked too long in the fryer. Over all score 3 out of 10

Love the food here, closest thing to perfect. Iβve had multiple meals here and love the gammon. Service could be improved but other than that, not a bad word to say about the quality of food and the price.

Went for xmas day dinner with hubby and daughter.. had prawn cocktail to start it was OK but very small portion. Main was below average described on menu as roasted turkey was more like bernard Matthews it was horrible and dry. 2 frozen roast potatoes, 2 new potatoes carrots were OK 1 pig in blanket 1 stuffing, cauliflower cheese, parsnips, Yorkshire pudding. Childs portion had same despite most would not eat most of the veg. We got given individual gravy boats and 1 small bowl of cranberry sauce between 3 of us!!! Waitress was lovely. We had large wine and lemonade, pint of carling and a large coke which came to over Β£14.00!!!!! Also not disability friendly step into venue, steps into room and steps to toilets!!! We booked for 1pm it was virtually empty, no atmosphere at all

Excellent place to eat. Out for a family meal. Check the weekday menu as these are good value for money at under Β£10. If you have room, a pudding will cost you an extra Β£1.50. Highly recommend the Gammon meal and the Cajun Chicken. Both on the weekday menu. It was so good, we returned with the rest of the family 2 days later. Good selection of real ales and beers. Quick and polite service too which is rare nowadays.

Great food. Service is relatively fast, and staff are pleasant. A little pricey for a family of 4 but I think that's just due to the general cost of living.

Visited tonight for my dad's 70th birthday, 5 of us, we all had lovely meals, 2 of us had steak, lovely and tender. My dad had a mixed grill, again lovely. Mum had cheese and broccoli bake and my daughter had macaroni cheese, all cooked lovely. Had to reserve a table as very busy, but did get seated earlier, although sat and had drinks in the bar area while waiting anyway. Toilets need a bit of a refurb and there was some building work going on at the back of the building but couldn't fault the food and can't wait to go again.

Very nice pub and good food. On first impression it looks a little drab outside but when you get inside it's a warm cosy place and it's quite big. The food is cheap and better than expected given the price. Will definitely eat here again.
