Sunday roast, 2 courses for £15, probably the best bargain you can get and great quality food. Ham hock bon bons, whitebait and 2 pork belly roasts. Fab food, great service, really friendly staff. Highly recommended.
Updated 6/24: Carrie (I apologize if I spelled your name wrong) took fabulous care of me each breakfast and was an absolute gem to chat with. Sharon was probably the kindest waitress I've ever had. I highly recommend checking out their Friday steak dinners and the drinks are still amazing. This place is just beautiful. The food is lovely. The drinks are elegant. It's a stunning place to just kind of linger over dessert or that "just one more" drink.
A great Sunday lunch with the best service and quality ingredients. The value was amazing with a choice of 2 or 3 courses. This place deserves a massive shout out, it is tucked away behind the bar area at the Gresham and has a great selection of food available daily. The team and service make it for me first and foremost.. The kitchen team deliver elegantly. Go visit and enjoy book ahead the service was busy as the word is out!
We visited Black Iron Social a few times during the December and every single time it was great. We are massive steak lovers and we finally found best place in town. We went for flank steak but instead of gravy we had Stilton sauce. Beautiful flavours and amazing quality of the meat. Eve was our host every time we visited place and she’s such a gem! Very polite and helpful. She even recognised us! We didn’t have a chance to speak with the rest of the team but she represents them amazingly. One of the best interiors in town in the restaurant and bar area. Unfortunately because we’re local we didn’t have chance to check the hotel area. Definitely will come back very soon!!!
The place on it own it nice! They had a good lunch deal! When it comes to the food. Starters: pork belly, it was nice but it was tad bit hard! Main: steak, it was nice but hard! Took me awhile to cut it and very chewy. The salad had too much raw onions which just ruined the salad! Chips were nice Dessert: had the brioche and the mouse!! Loved it!!! Brioche was heavenly! Good service though! Friendly!
Really enjoyed our dinner here! Food was excellent quality and the cocktails were delicious! Love that you can get small plates to share so you can taste lots of different delicious foods! Staff were friendly and helpful too. A great place!
Friends and I went for food and a catch up, food was awesome, something for everyone we ordered 10 small plates, 1 main and 3 desserts plus drinks. 4 of us £30 each very reasonable for super tasty food.
Amazing food, drinks and atmosphere, great easy menu with a well balanced selection small plates and mains. Group of 6 and the service was perfect. Chicken, steak, mac n cheese, loaded fries, scallops, oxcheek, food was really really good
