Really enjoyed our visit to Chai Paani. The paneer manchurian was delicious and full of flavour. We also had the main course, which was very tasty. The soya chaap was okay. The seating staff were good, the ambience was pleasant, the place was clean, and it’s a pure vegetarian restaurant. Overall, great food and excellent service. Would happily visit again.

Lovely meal and great staff. I had viewed this place online beforehand, as a vegan I liked that they mark the options on the menu. Sadly the version of the menu with vegan options was an old version but the staff were eager to help identify the relevant options with the help of the allergy guide. The food itself was great. I had the mushroom Manchurian and my partner had the paneer noodles. Very enjoyable.

Visited Chai Paani few times in the past 10-12 years. The quality and taste of the food hasn’t gone down. It was good to see some new dishes in the menu. Everything had a taste apart from Lassi which we order was salty which almost were made similar to Raitu. It has coriander and onion in it. Toilets available Staffs were helpful - One their staff Prince were really helpful and will listen well to what you ask For. Outstanding work from him. Thank you Prince!

Visited Chai Paani on a weekday evening around 9:15 PM. As expected at that time, the place was pretty empty. We were told on entry that the kitchen closes at 9:30 PM and the restaurant shuts at 10, which gave us just enough time to order. The restaurant itself is quite basic and could really do with a deep clean and a bit of a facelift as it doesn’t feel especially well-kept. We ordered the chilli paneer and a plain dosa. The paneer was quite oily and didn’t leave a great impression, although the peppers and onions in the dish were cooked nicely. The dosa was freshly made and the chutneys served with it were good. We were given plastic plates for the starters, which felt a bit cheap and didn’t add to the experience. There are toilets available, but I’d suggest avoiding them if possible as they weren’t in the best condition. It was our first visit and honestly we only stopped in because it was the only nearby place still open for dine-in. Not sure I’d be in a rush to return.

Great Indian restaurant in the heart of Belgrade road. Northern Indian vegetarian food with great taste. The offer Indian and Indochinese cuisine. Food tends to be quite spicy. Very affordable place you can have a big meal for small amounts, specially of you go with more people and share. Ideal to go with friends and family.

Wow wow wow. This place is awesome. One of the best I have visited outside india. Superb food and drink served super quick. The menu was so amazing struggled to make a decision. This place has been voted best veggie Indian in Leicester since 2017 and it's no surprise. Wish we lived closer.
