Wouldn't go anywhere else now not just is the price better but everytime we have ordered now the food has been 10/10

We love this Chinese we have extra spicy curry we love it not for people that’s got no tolerance to spice it’s hot so don’t order x spicy if you don’t like hot this is our favourite Chinese in Newport always delivered hot and fresh we have a chicken curry x spicy the fu young is beautiful . Delivery is fast we wouldn’t have meal from any where else prices are very good. Love you Hong Sheng best in Newport thank you number 58
Chicken Fried Rice was over cooked and bland. Something off with the prawn crackers, were inedible. Curry sauce was nice but too spicy. Salt and chilli chicken was really nice however. Second time I’ve ordered, first time didn’t have any issues but this time has made me not want to order from here again, will be sticking to my regular place.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS !!! Hong sheng is local to us and i really wanted to like them but the 3 times we have ordered from them there have been issues. The latest, I ordered food online Saturday evening. The order went through and payment taken straight away, no problems. 2 minutes later, I had an email to say that the takeaway is closed and I'd have a refund within 3-5 DAYS !!!! Times are hard and I had saved the money for that takeaway, luckily my mum paid or else we would have had nothing to eat. Shocking that they take the money and you have to wait so long for it to be refunded.

Absolutely disappointed, my husband spoke with the takeaway before placing an order as he has a shell fish allergy and was assured his allergy would be catered for. Upon placing the order we had an email stating they didn't deliver to our address, Absolutely rubbish as they are listed on Just Eat. After a phone call to the takeaway they fobbed us off with an excuse. Wjy couldn't they be upfront in the first places
Ordered Hong Sheng last week on Friday and it was so amazing , coming from London I hoped that the takeaway would be just as good. It sure didn't let me down. We ordered : Prawn curry Shredded beef in chilli sauce House special fried rice And a chow mein - I don't remember if it was chicken or the house special. The food was amazing !!!! I definitely recommend anyone who fancies a chinese takeaway to get it from here . The prawn curry was super good ! Slightly different from an Indian curry , it was such a huge portion and the prawns were cooked really well. The rice and chow mein were also ace - the other veggies and meat were of good quantity. There will be a bit of a wait when the restaurant gets busy , but it's worth the wait . I would love to try some of their other dishes next time as I've heard their Thai dishes are really good too. All in All 5 stars !
