   I visited the store to try on some clothes, accompanied by my boyfriend, my dad, and my younger sister. When I asked my boyfriend for his opinion on something I was trying on, staff refused to let him enter the fitting room area, even though he was only standing near the entrance, they stated that it was for women only. I would have understood this policy had there been any signage indicating that the fitting rooms were for female use exclusively — however, there was none. A similar issue occurred when my 8-year-old sister, who was also trying on clothes, needed assistance from our dad. He was again refused entry to help her, despite her being a child. Once again, there were no signs stating that the fitting rooms were restricted to women. It’s unreasonable to enforce such a rule without clear signage explaining it, especially when there is only one fitting room area in the entire store. When I tried to politely explain that my sister simply needed help from her dad, the staff member responded in a rude and unprofessional manner, which was completely unnecessary. Additionally, I noticed there was no men’s section in the store, which was confusing given that New Look is known for offering both men’s and women’s clothing. Overall, the experience was disappointing and could have been handled much more professionally.

   Had the most complicated set of returns ever with multiple purchases at different stores and hundreds of receipts. Obviously tried to deal with it on busy evening right before Christmas, when we were en route (and running late) for a class. Laura the supervisor was absolutely brilliant. It didn't phase her at all and what I had pre-empted being a time consuming disaster was dealt with quickly, clearly and we were on our way in minutes. This is the customer service I didn't think existed in shops anymore: super knowledgeable about the policies and system, and polite too. Thank you Laura, for making Christmas that little bit easier!

They also have a great online service, with easy deliveries and returns, and a handy app that gives them exclusive offers and more.    Previously reviewed this store with a 4 for the large amount of choice. I have since had to revisit my review and amend my rating to a 2. They still have lots of choice but the service has gone seriously down hill. I had an item to return that had the tags and labels on and was just a couple of days over the return date. I explained that due to COVID-19 isolation I could not come in to the store, had my receipt showing the purchase. Advised, by the colleague in a rather abrupt way, that I should have come in sooner, even though I had explained the reason I couldn't come in. Was then advised that she would refund/credit note at the new price which was dramatically different. Gifted to charity instead rather than the store! Less than impressed with the service, if the colleague had been slightly polite I probably would not be changing my previous rating. The 2 stars remain for choice and variety not service experienced recently.

   I don't normally shop here for clothes but the post-Christmas sales were amazing and I revamped my whole wardrobe for about 40 quid. What's not to like? I've docked one star because the full price items are a little bit too pricey for my range but in the sales I had really nice pieces for under £5.
