Coffee is great. Food very limited. People serving are lovely but under too much pressure. They are working on their own even in busy times.
Whenever in M&S always go to cafe love their coffee made just how I like it. Food is lovely, too. The staff always friendly and polite &helpful. Maybe a little pricey for some but quality good.
The food in M And S is just the best! Add to that the best latte ever and all served by the handsome Jason! Yummy!
The person serving was very good & very polite, but it was so busy she should have had help - her colleague just cleared tables & didn't seem to make coffees etc. At that time (12.30 ish) help behind the counter would have speeded it up for everyone waiting.
Coffee and food was nice and fresh. Was surprised that all the food was handled by the barista without wearing gloves. So a bacon roll was placed in the oven and then the next order of a tea cake was handled again. Resulting in cross contamination of meat and a vegetarian option. No washing of hands in between.
I was not expecting any thing amazing for £10.00, but considering they just heat up their own food, it should not have been so dire, The kids meal was some dried up fish fingers on a gum cutting roll, I had avocado swimming in lemon, but my favourite was that they told us we could share one fork for 3 people. I am pretty sure some of the stuff was past it's use by date too. With only two people working, rushed of their feet seemed far too obnoxious say anything. M&S trading on it's name as opposed to quality again, probably also asking people too work harder for less money under inadequate management like usual.
They don't bother to clean the tables. In a large decaf Americano they only used one pouch of coffee, you could hardly taste it. However they did put another half shot in it when asked, that almost made it drinkable. The soup was ok, but a bit cool.
