I got absolutely stung booking this place! I booked it back in December turned up last week (July) to find the the place closed down in January! No one informed me at all! I drove 200+ to a hotel that no longer operated! Absolute joke! Coffi co should be ashamed of themselves! Avoid at all cost if you ever see it advertised! I find and book another hotel luckily I had the funds otherwise I would have been left on the streets of Cardiff! Really bad experience that caused me unnecessary stress!!!

Amazing rooms, very spacious and romantic! I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here with my partner, and Iβm looking forward to staying again. Iβm unsure about the negative reviews, as our stay was so perfect! It was nice to not have staff around as it made it feel more private and cosy for my partner and I!

During a very difficult situation which affected my booking I asked some simple questions to the hotel. I was ignored overnight so chased up the next day only to receive some very basic blunt and unhelpful responses and a load of policy information explaining why I couldnβt have a refund. I never at any point wanted a refund. I was also told that I should have let them know βa week or 10 days before the bookingβ which given the information I had provided to the hotel regarding my reasoning was totally inappropriate and insensitive. I feel as if my question was completely disregarded. The whole interaction was bunt and impersonal, and was then followed up with a lot of automated responses asking how my stay was and asking for a review which only added to the impersonal and negative interaction as a whole.

Needs some TLC. I got spammed to death on the day of our booking with all the things I needed to do to get in, I have now had ten emails ....... Download an app, go in a certain door, a way to get issued with a room card. When we got there none of it was working and a friendly man gave us a key. In the room, the tv is not working (to be fair we could have reported this but chose not to as we didn't want the hassle). The bedroom was cold, the curtains were hanging off on one side and there is an unpleasant stain on the headboard. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom blind was broken although the bathroom was warm and the shower decent. We didnt feel very safe as the lock on the main door is very loose. It is a 15 minute walk into Cardiff and the pubs and restaurants in the locality seemed decent but we were only there one night and spent our time in the centre.

Fantastic!! Huge rooms, styled very elegantly with no uneseccary fussiness. The host was amazing. Great communication. Really reactive to any questions and requests and went above and beyond to accommodate us. The location is great. Really lovely area with plenty of nice coffee shops, pubs and places to eat. Directly opposite a beautiful park and easy walking distance to the Castle and the City Centre. Next trip to Cardiff we'll be booking here again.

Absolutely loved our stay and wish we could have stayed longer. From booking all the way through to checkout, it was easy, stressless and a pleasure. The room was stunning and the staff were so friendly too. Easy to find, easy parking... just perfect.

We booked the King Suite as a treat for my hubbyβs 50th birthday. On arrival, we were given a key to our room and it turned out to be a wrong room. It was a 2 bedroom suite, with small shower room, kitchen unit& tv room. I went to inform the manager on duty about their error. The manager was already out and his deputy called him, to inform him about the error. He spoke on a loud speaker. He requested the deputy manager to check who has our room. It turned out, on the day, the manager upgraded another couple to our room! He then tried to tell me that the room we were given was an upgrade too!! Why on earth would we want 2 bedroom apartment when is just the 2 of us& why we would spent Β£175 for a King Suite and be happy not to stay there?! Further more, when you want to upgrade a customer, you tell them that is an option, and once they agree to the upgrade, you upgrade. That was an absolute madness. How can you upgrade another customer to a room, which we paid for and it was booked for us??? The booking system and management of that place is shocking. The manager, at some point, suggested to his deputy, to get the people they upgraded to our room out of that room, so we can stay in there. I honestly couldnβt believe what I was hearing!! As an apology, we were offered a complementary GLASS of Prosecco, breakfast& coffee. The room we had to stay in was dirty- broken blinds, dirty shower, dirty kitchen cupboards, dirty fridge& oven, dirty windows, dirty carpets. I have photos of it& will upload, if there is such an option here. If not, it will be on the Trip advisor for you to see. Bed was clean. This place could be as amazing as the photos on their website. But at the moment, it needs a top to bottom spring clean, change of management and better booking system. For Β£175 we could have stayed in many far better hotels in Cardiff. Whoever owns this place needs to be aware of whatβs going on there, as itβs absolutely unacceptable. I donβt need to add, weβll never be back or recommend that place to anyone.

Fantastic room, beautifully decorated lovely size. Loved the fact that we could stay above our favourite coffee shop in Cardiff! All the staff were fantastic and breakfast was great, quick and excellent service. Only downsides were the coffee machine in our room leaked rather a lot, the bed could have been a bit softer (our preference) and the shower was a bit fiddly. Will definitely stay here again, as we loved the boutique feel to it and quite fancy trying it out in the summer as the secret garden looks fab!

Wonderful service. Linens and towels were good. Road a bit busy during the day. Windows open for fresh air. However, bed comfort differed by room (3 different rooms as we were out traveling anf back three times). Two pubs across the street and highly rated and very tasty Italian restaurant Endola across the street and even more pubs within two blocks. Morning breakfast in Coffi #73 was very good. Would recommend but caution as not all things work in the rooms and bring you own handsoap, shampoo and conditioner as they, oddly, do not offer any.

This property is in a great location and just a 15 minute walk from Cardiff centre. There is an on-site cafe/restaurant and bar which is a great bonus as you have access to this for breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks if you want to. There are also other pubs, restaurants and local shops in the area so there's lots of options nearby without needing to go into the city centre. We stayed in the 2 bedroom house and both bedrooms are double beds with en-suite bathrooms making it perfect for couples staying together. There's no dedicated parking, but there's a lot of free on-road parking nearby. We always managed to get a space within a 5 minute walk, however we did have to drive around at times until we got a space. The property was great, however it could do with a little bit of TLC. There's a few marks on the walls and carpets, but nothing a coat of paint and a good scrub wouldn't fix. A couple of the blinds also needed fixing. None of these things negatively affected our stay. We really enjoyed our stay and wouldn't hesitate to stay again if we come back to Cardiff.
