   I stayed one night here and was very happy with my choice. The hotel had excellent reviews on the booking platform, and I feel these were totally justified. The room was exceptionally clean and outstanding value; I have stayed in rooms many times the price that are worse! The lady I spoke to was friendly and helpful too. What I like is that the rooms are above a backstreet pub in Roath. I lived in Cardiff 20 years and know so well - I’d far rather stay in a “real” part of the city than the anonymous chains in the centre. The Crofts on a quiet street, but you are close to City Road and Albany Road - two very busy, lively streets. I was also close enough to the centre to walk (15mins or so). I am pleased to see the success this has brought to the pub and would happily stay there again :).

   Exceptionally clean. I had a twin room (both double beds!!) so it felt spacious & cosy altogether. Bed was so, so comfy. Bathroom was spotless and smelled fresh - shower was the perfect temp with good water pressure. Staff are friendly and greet you with a smile. Had a good laugh with one of the staff members when she was helping me find a parking space. Speaking of parking: There is LIMITED space outside the hotel. The majority of the area is 'permit holders only'. You can park outside the hotel, if there is space. Otherwise you would need to park elsewhere. I was lucky enough to pinch a space someone was just leaving from. Noise is minimal at night time. My door code wasn't working on the main door, or my room door. This was fixed for me when I asked the staff for help. Would definitely stop here again if I'm ever returning to Cardiff overnight. Taxis average around £7.50 for a one way trip into the centre (from the hotel, to Utilita Arena was my route and vice versa) via Veezu who were prompt and affordable with friendly drivers. Thanks for a comfortable & snug stay.

   Had a very nice stay at the Crofts, staff were very friendly and the breakfast was lovely. Small room but it was immaculate and had a great shower. Parking was on street but right outside the hotel and would definitely stay here again.

   I was first greeted by the very kind lady in the pub area. It was a nice quaint looking pub, breakfast is 10 pound. I then went upstairs to my room, using a code I was texted earlier. I was hit with a nice clean smell up on entering the room. The bed was incredibly comfortable as well. The view outside is very nice, and the rooms are very quiet and soundproof. For the price, I can't expect any more. I give 5/5.

   This hotel ticks all the boxes. Immaculate rooms, great breakfast and fantastic efficient, friendly team. Nothing was too much trouble. Glad we found it and will definitely return if we are back in Cardiff

   No problems at all here. The room was clean and comfortable. Bathroom ideal and nice en suite. I was in room 7 and although you can hear some noises in the below restaurant, it’s nothing more than you’d expect and isn’t too late into the night. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a great place to stay for cheap.

   A great pub, tucked away in a residential area, which means that it doesn't get too rowdy. The staff are extremely friendly and welcoming. A nice selection of drinks available on tap means that there's something for everyone. Even though it is far more of a local, it's situated nicely that it has good transport links nearby, having a short walk to Albany Road, Newport Road and City Road; Which is great for both visiting for a drink or if you are staying in the hotel as you can get to most of the city easily enough from one of these three destinations. But it doesn't have the disruption of being on any of those roads itself. I can heartily recommend this place.

   I'd love to book asap if only to meet your cat, dog and parrot. Lovely to see a hotel who has their own pets and not afraid to let them mingle. For that reason alone I'd stay here in a heartbeat.

   Clean enough but could have been better. Very noisy quite late from activities in the building (bar? Karaoke? Dans?). When I stayed there were also other guests yelling all night and slamming doors, I barely got any sleep. Other than that the place was ok. (I don’t seem to be able to reply to your comment, but yes, I asked about another night, before I even got to Cardiff.)

   Lovely room above the pub very clean and well appointed but perhaps a little pricey. Was almost a 4 star review because you pay extra for breakfast which was good but not a very cosy atmosphere in the chilly bar as there had been a party in the lounge the night before and they were still clearing up. People running the place were lovely.
