   Good size for an express, lots of items in store for basics and stocking up your cupboard. Will only ever give a 4star, as the company itself has quite the awful reputation with its shop teams, so fellow shoppers, remember to be nice to the team, they dont set the prices or have control of the company. Most of the team are well over worked, underpaid, and expected to do the hard labour job, often for the smallest wages in the company. Tescos gets the job done for a food shop, but we don't visit unless we need too, due to the company itself, not any store in particular.

   Terrible customer service. The billing staff accused me for theft ( kitkat) although i haven't taken anything. I gave them permission to check me and the security didn't do it saying he trust me and let me go . But the billing staff kept on saying that he saw me taking the kitkat . I asked them to check the camera as well and they didn't.

   Very rude staff named Mala at the Kiosk today. Mala (Tesco Worker) explained to Old fragile lady Infront of me at the queue, that she shouldn’t be paying here unless she’s buying cigarettes. As I was next in line she told me I can’t be paying here as ‘I’ve already explained to the old lady’. She was being very confrontational and told me that you should ask the manager too. Then she was calling the manager when I didn’t even ask for one. I always pay at the kiosk because I’m paying cash, self checkout does not accept cash, card only. I told her all I want to do is my shopping pay and leave nothing else don’t want an argument. Been coming here since I was a kid and not once have I been disrespected like that by a Tesco worker.

   Staff usually very pleasant, taken aback today by how rude/confrontational the security guard was this evening. Took around 30 seconds checking the weight of my backpack after paying before being informed that the shop had closed & I needed to leave in a very condescending manner. Despite how another customer was using the self service opposite and was in no way done. Very angry with how I was treated. Would have rated this shop 4 to 5 stars before but honestly so so frustrated. No provocation for that type of response, and again, having worked in a very similar role I would know.

   Usually a great place to go to, had an unpleasant experience this morning when I needed help with my self checkout from an incredibly rude woman I think her name was Jane? Small order woman. Really really rude and snobby. Hope I never have to encounter her again.

   It's a good shop with a variety of goods. Quality is always pretty good and most things work well. Self checkouts can be very slow and temperamental at times though, so bear that in mind! Reducing to 3 stars as the self checkouts continue having issues despite it being so long since I posted this review.

   I would like to leave my very positive comments for this Tescos in my home city of Cardiff. Where I have found, very friendly service, courtesy and assurance at my local Tesco superstore in St. Mellons last 30 years, this particular Tesco Express on Albany Road Cardiff has also impressed me. The staff were very friendly, cheerfully greeting customers and me. Also cashier made warming chit chat whilst serving me. The shelves were fully stocked and it felt peaceful and assuring to shop at. I felt very heart warmed by the cheerful greeting by staff, what a difference this can make to any shopper. In regards to their emotional, mental well being. A warm smile and kind greeting goes a long way in brightening somebody's faith in humanity and brightening their day. Thankyou tesco staff in St. Mellons and Albany Road tesco express, you are all fantastic. Keep up the good work! I hope you all get pay rises, you deserve them.
