We stayed at Gomersal Park for the Christmas Short Break. Overall, it was a lovely festive experience—meals were plentiful and delicious, and the restaurant team, especially Lewis, were fantastic: cheerful, helpful, and attentive. The only downside was our room location. My mum uses a wheelchair, and getting to the room involved a small lift (often without a key), several fire doors, and steps, which made access difficult despite requesting a room near reception. Aside from that, everything else was great, and we’d consider returning for another festive break.

I visited this spa in 2023 and had a fantastic experience—exceptional treatments, spotless hygiene, and no complaints whatsoever. Because of that, I decided to book again for my mum’s 60th birthday. Unfortunately, since the change in management, the quality has noticeably declined. I called twice before our visit and was assured there would be a small surprise for my mum on arrival. Nothing was prepared. Although the staff were friendly, we weren’t greeted properly or informed about what to expect for the evening, despite being told over the phone that someone would go through everything with us. Welcome drinks, which were previously included, were also not offered. I was advised that afternoon tea could be served at any time we preferred, and during my previous visit it was beautifully presented by the spa/pool area—ideal for a relaxing day. This time, however, we were told it had to be taken at the bar. I explained that I wasn’t comfortable being around alcohol, but the receptionist didn’t seem to understand my concern. I asked four separate times if the afternoon tea could be brought to the spa lounge or bistro and was repeatedly told “we can’t,” with no explanation other than “we’re under new management.” The hygiene also needs serious attention. There was an unpleasant smell, like drains, that made the environment feel far from relaxing. Overall, the experience was disappointing, especially for such an important occasion. My mum left feeling worse, not better, and I definitely wouldn’t describe our visit as enjoyable.

This hotel was really good. The staff were extremely friendly and the service (minus the spa) was fantastic, especially in the bar and restaurant area. The only issue we had was with the spa. I rang to book a massage and was told I could have either a 25 or 50 min massage. I chose the 50 min massage and was very clear that my neck was sore and that was the area I wanted them to focus on. When I arrived there, I was told the session included a 25 min massage and then 25 mins of something to do with my face. I asked if we could not do that and just spend the 50 mins concentrating on my neck, to which I was told “no, they don't do that”. I asked if we could just do the massage then without the other stuff, the lady said “yes”. I assumed this would mean I’d be refunded half the cost as I was now only getting the 25 min session. Unfortunately this did not happen. Additionally, the massage was light touching and did not massage anything. I was extremely disappointed, felt ripped off and still had no relief in my neck. Apart from the spa experience, the service and facilities throughout the remainder of the hotel were fantastic. Our complimentary afternoon tea was terrific and was complemented by our waitress, who ensured everything was just right. The bar was well stocked, extremely convenient and allowed you to have a quiet drink or two to finish off the evening after returning from dinner. I highly recommend this hotel, however I do not recommend using the spa for a massage.

We recently celebrated my sister’s baby shower at Gomersal Park Hotel, and everything was absolutely perfect from start to finish! The team went above and beyond to make sure every detail was just right — the room was set out how we wanted it -ready to decorate, the food was delicious, and the service was so friendly and attentive throughout the day. Nothing was too much trouble, and the staff made us all feel so welcome. It was such a relaxed and joyful atmosphere, and my sister was over the moon with how beautifully everything came together. A huge thank you to everyone at Gomersal Park Hotel and Imogen especially for helping us create such special memories. I’d highly recommend this venue for any celebration — we’ll definitely be returning!

I had a great stay here. I had a suite, with a super comfy bed and LOTS of room. All amenities needed, in the room. It was very quiet and peaceful. Food was amazing and the staff in the restaurant were very attentive and friendly. I would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend.

Myself and family attended the hotel for their Halloween murder mystery evening. There were plenty of staff on hand to serve the themed welcome drinks. The room was well dressed for the occasion and tables well spaced. The 3 course meal was delicious with large portions and they catered well for a gluten free diet. The entertainment was excellent. I would definitely attend one of their events again

The staff couldn't be more helpful, they even changed my room, but the beds are old open coil disasters! Some rooms had better showers than others, a little bit of mould. The leisure facilities were great, however the food needs some work. I can see they're trying but they're just missing the mark. Could be great but as it is I wouldn't stay again.

Spa is amazing had a wonderful back massage and facial on the afternoon tea package. As we've been numerous times before and loved the afternoon tea even recommended to many.... sadly this time it was a let down. Why change what was faultless before. Definitely recommend the spa but not the afternoon tea. Will go again as the spa and staff faultless but will opt out of the tea.

Stayed here for one night with my daughter. We were in room 303 which is a family room. I was soo impressed! It is tucked away so very quiet. It was spotless. Jess on reception was so welcoming infact, all the staff working were lovely. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice, the coffee was perfect. The pool area is really nice and we were told the kids swimming times when we arrived. We really enjoyed our stay.
