Location good, separate parking good, staff lovely, bed very comfy, bathroom very tired and slightly smelly, breakfast ok for pre paid price Β£6 but wouldn't pay the price of Β£8+ by just turning up for it. Just as a bedroom fine as a base for any longer probably not. However we would stay for just 1 night stays again.

For a budget hotel, this ibis strongly exceeds expectations. When I came, breakfast was Β£6 a head for all you can eat. Staff were kind and considerate. 5* for service but mainly due to the lack of expectations. I do not expect amazing service in a budget hotel but feel we still got more than we paid for. Double room is reasonably sized, excellent shower facilities and spacious enough if all you plan to do is sleep or surf the internet. Location is great, a five minute walk from the City Centre, and 7 minutes walk from where the coach gets in. Absolutely fantastic, and Β£38/night. Great weekend, thank you all.

Rooms are small, beds are comfortable. The toilet is so small u couldn't swing a cat, the toilet door u have to push open and u can't really be quiet if someone else is sleeping in the room. Shower is also right next to the bed not far away that u could have a shower when someone else is sleeping in tbr room.Reception wasn't very friendly at all they only spook when they gave us the key.

The place was clean and tidy. Rooms were just what we needed. Fresh towels and bedding. Toilet a bit clostraphobic, but can't moan for the price. Some of the staff on reception were a bit rude and abrupt though. Not our fault the key cards were faulty and had to have them reset 7x, a few others had problems too but felt it was our fault. House keeping staff were all lovely and friendly though. Other than that, food was nice, and in a lovely location not far from the town centre .

Booked this hotel to stay in for one night so I can see a concert in a nearby arena. For starters, despite being called a "Budget" hotel, I thought the pricing was fairly above the budget range I would expect. It was Friday so fair for prices to be higher than normal, but still thought the overall cost was greater than what the hotel offered. The rooms are quite small, but cozy. The shower and the sink are open in the room itself, with the toilet having a separate little room. I can imagine someone of a bigger size might find the shower and the toilet a little bit uncomfortable to use, as they are quite small. The staff were friendly and hospitable. Quick check in, quick check out. The location is pretty good, just about 10mins walk from the Central Station, and good walking distance to the Cardiff center for entertainment. There's a Co-op across the road from the hotel, which is convenient for quick meal or snacks. Overall - a decent place to stay if you're not planning on spending too much time in the hotel room itself.

We had two nights in the Ibis budget hotel in Cardiff and it was brilliant. The staff were friendly and helpful and the room was lovely. I'm disabled and use a wheelchair and the room and wet room were excellent. Tea and coffee available as you wanted it. The hotel in my opinion couldn't be falted

The staff at this particular hotel are exceptional. I have visited on numerous occasions and without fail the staff have been incredibly kind, helpful and efficient. It was my birthday on the first night that we stayed, and they gave myself and the friend I was with a free drink each which was a lovely gesture. The rooms are comfortable, functional and clean. The beds are comfy and there are enough towels and a small television too. It's a shame that there's no kettle provided in the room itself, however totally understandable at this price point. The free tea and coffee making facilities in the lobby also more than make up for the lack of kettle in the room, as they are always kept well stocked by the staff. Not once did I go to make a cup of tea and find that there was no milk left! The location is a little out of town, but it's easy to get to the city centre via Uber (around Β£4.50 one way). There is also a bus stop very close by that serves a city bus which will also take you into the centre, although I didn't use it so couldn't comment on the price/frequency of the service.

Basic level, budget hotel in easy walking distance of Cardiff City Centre. (10 minutes). No views, no frills, but cheap and cheerful. The room was compact, the bed was comfortable, the shower was hot and worked well. You can also walk to Cardiff Bay, about 40 minutes.

Lovely hotel! The staff were amazing & so accommodating with our check-in & when we were stuck with parking. They went above & beyond for us & ensured we were looked after. The place is so lovely & clean & the rooms were perfect for what we needed, not to mention the overnight cost was fantastic! Well done to the lovely hotel & hard working staff. You made our stay very enjoyable!

Don’t expect any frills - it’s a budget hotel, and for the price, these days, it’s pretty good. Small rooms, odd plastic shower in the bedroom and a toilet in the cupboard BUT everything is spotlessly clean and the bed is comfortable and the shower was surprisingly efficient, hot and good pressure. At this price, no complaints. Friendly staff too. For a two night functional trip where we literally just washed and slept in the hotel and spent the whole day travelling around, you can’t beat it.
