   Very disappointing experience with DFS Alvis retail park Coventry. On 07/11/2025, I was explicitly promised by the salesperson that my sofa would be delivered before Christmas. Based on this assurance, I chose an in-store stock sofa with express delivery instead of selecting my own preferred option. I was told the display model would be kept aside and delivered before 25/12/2025. After the sale was completed, I received no updates at all. I then had to chase, only to be told that delivery might now be around 30/12/2025 with no certainty. By this time, payments have already started being deducted. If I had been told the true delivery timeline from the start, I would have made alternative arrangements with another retailer. The promise made at the point of sale was the main reason I chose DFS, and it has not been honoured. Extremely disappointed with the lack of communication and the failure to deliver as promised. Will not recommend this kind of service.

   Great and friendly staff. Very well informed staff that are able to navigate you to the items that suit your requirements. Easy access around this store. Extremely clean and well presented. After having been to all other sofa retail stores in and around coventry I think we will be ordering from here very soon.

   Specifically drove 20 miles to order bed that we saw online with particular colour. One staff member was quick to say you have to order this online & no conversation to show an alternative or similar colour etc.. Poor salesman ship. We then bought from furniture village. Hunger for my business.

   Bought a sofa from there and regretted it instantly. We were missold the sofa and the arm keeps falling off, which is dangerous because I have a kid in the house and the arms are quite heavy. DFS has refused to do anything impactful about it and was told that was how it was designed. Instead , telling us to pay an addition 40% of the original value (£2,300) of the sofa to get it replaced. They are a disgrace. I will advice you stay away from this retailer

   DFS coventry are thieves!! Sold me a sofa which is a completely different colour to their showroom colour. When the sofa arrived it does not match my living room space as envisioned and seen in showroom. DFS have failed to accept this is not the same colour and they have told me nothing can be done for me. A deceptive service and needs to be exposed for daylight robbery and such unfair treat! Very bad company. Avoid at all cost!!!

   Waiting 6-months for a replacement sofa section as the original one delivered was the wrong part. Been in touch with the store who failed to tell me that there was an error in the reorder. And NOW there is a foam shortage. Sofa delivered with incorrect l-shape so doesn’t clip to main sofa and has exposed metal. Me and my husband have cut ourselves on the exposed metal twice now and have an 19 month old who we have to constantly keep away from it. I’ve been in tears over this so many times. DFS should be ashamed, still no update on sofa delivery and wont get it by Christmas!
