   I suspect the five star reviews have been faked to counter and drown out the lower rated reviews. I can understand that if you’re happy with the service you’d give four stars but for five stars I would really look for a luxury service. You just have to drive past this place to see how bad it is from the outside. When we arrived, the place was very messy and the owner would not let us see where our cat would be staying. He just described it as a Pen. This was a last-minute booking, looking at the four stars Reviews when we picked up our cat after 10 days we realise something Was not right. Carrier was completely ruined and smelled of urine The owner said other cats tried to come in, so they will mark their territory by urinating in their own carriers. It was also visibly dirty from the outside. They offered to give their own carrier as the one we left with them Was in no state to be used we eventually binned it. On the way home, our cat Appeared extremely distressed. We took him straight to the bath to give him a wash. As the smell was unbearable. He was very hungry And at constantly for the first the whole day Not being satisfied with his food I suspect that that He was not Fed properly. A warning to anyone not to use this place and be cautious of 5 star reviews.

   Always great service and adaptable - they were able to accommodate when I needed to pick my cat up earlier than anticipated and even gave me a spare cat box they had when mine was broken. First class!

   I booked my two cats into this cattery early May 2022 as my usual place was full. The cats came back happy and healthy. Unlike some catteries the owners were very accomodating and the cats were dropped off and picked up based on my travel plans which allowed me to keep costs down. I have read the reviews about some cats losing weight or smelling of urine but cats get stressed when they go to new places so don't eat straight away and as for the smell, mine spent 4 days at the cattery and smelt fine! My 2 cats are like my children and I have no hesitation in using Stapleford cattery again.

   Don't live your cat in this place!!! I pick up my cat today 17th September after 17 days. My cat was really stressed,smelled of urine and much skinny. They ask you what they like to eat but i don't think they really care. I suppose to pick my cat at 10.30 but i was there at 10.05 as i finished early and my cat was already ready for collection with almost 30 min before. On my short ride home(10 min) my cat poo in the cage so I'm not shore how long he stand in the cage before i pick him up. One other thing, i called a day before at around 5.30 to ask if i can pick my cat early and they said that thay finished for today and and everything is locked. At what time is the last meal for the cats if at 5.30 nobody is there.

   Fantastic place. Owners are very friendly and flexible. Our three cats were very well looked after, well fed and happy. Accommodation is clean and well maintained with plenty of room for the cats to move around and exercise. Would happily use them again and have recommended to friends and family.

   Very pleasant cattery. Owners were very happy for us to view before accepting a pen. All cats staying there looked very happy, content and well looked after. They use a variety of food of choice and wood chip litter but can bring your own if need be. We viewed a few cattery’s before this one, and this one definitely excelled to be the best. The family are very welcoming and gave a lovely tour. I feel at ease knowing my cats are in this family’s care whilst we go away. Highly recommended!!

   Extremely happy with the service and care of our cats. Before booking I was given a tour and was very impressed with the fact that there was air conditioning and heating available to suit different weather conditions. This cattery is a lovely family run business that continued care and accommodate our 2 cats even though we were hours late to collect them from their 8 days stay and at no extra cost. The cost was very reasonable and even though I had the full amount at time of booking only a deposit was asked of me. Will definitely use the service again in the future.
