Stopped off here to charge the car on the way to Birmingham Airport. Everything you'd expect of a Hilton, nice clean and welcoming. Lovely coffee area to sit while we waited for the car. If I was to have a dig it would be the speed of service from the lady serving the coffee, she certainly won't have a heart attack. There was approximately 6 or 8 people in the coffee shop we ordered 4 coffee's, 2 came after about 10 mins, My wife and her friend had just about finished these before the other 2 arrived.

Unfortunately the rooms REALLY let this place down. Awful stains all over the carpets, walls and curtains, mould in the bathroom, VERY dated furniture and fixtures, stunk of cigarette smoke and just really unpleasant. From a Hilton the least I'd expect is cleanliness but it was awful and no finishing touches at all. There was no hand soap in the bathroom, no biscuits with the tea and coffee, just general basic things that you get as standard in budget hotels were missing. The staff were all very lovely and the food was good which is why it's such a shame that no effort has been put into updating and keeping this hotel at Hilton standard.

Room was lovely, but there was a wedding that night and our room was in the wing next to the reception. Bangla drums till late and then drunken guests shouting in the corridor and banging doors until about 4.00 a.m. meant very disturbed sleep. Breakfast was a buffet which I donβt mind too much, but the quality of the food wasnβt brilliant. Thought being near Fosse Park might be useful but in fact there was so much traffic weβdβve been better avoiding the area completely.

Visited many, many times over the years. Hospitality was very good. The room was spotless, as were the cups, kettle, towels and sheets. Reception were courteous and polite, efficient and helpful. The reiterated the booking and explained mealtimes etc. they charge Β£5 extra for room service or you can go for breakfast and return to your room with your food foc. We were staying 3 nights in all and had booked dinner for all three. We expected a la carte option but that was not so. There were starters - around 5, Mains were snack kind of food, burgers, pasta, simple curry ,pizza. Then around 4 puddings. The food was nicely cooked but I prefer a la carte with steaks ,chicken, pork . I wanted a more up market dinner. Decided to just have 2 x dinner at the hotel and seek variety.

We stayed at the Hilton the night before our wedding. Firstly, the positives were that the lobby is welcoming and looks a bit more updated than the rest of the hotel. The car park has ample parking and it's not too expensive to park overnight. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and had a variety of hot and cold food and drinks. The service was friendly with the receptionists helping sort any queries out and they even let us host my henna party in the bar area/courtyard. However, the rooms were tired, though comfy beds to sleep in, the furniture and decor needs a great update. The major issue was that the room was advertised as an 'accessible' room however, none of the rooms were accessible as they all have a bathroom. This, I believe is false advertisement as my sibling has mobility issues and epilepsy and can fall at any given moment when trying to step up into a bathtub. This needs to be changed immediately as people with mobility impairment should not arrive thinking they are going to have access to a wetroom/walk-in shower. 'Accessible' simply means a ground floor room, though there's a lift so it does not really matter. I do credit the reception staff who did give us a refund for the additional two nights as my family could not stay in the room and had to find another accomodation nearby.

Stayed in a few Hilton's, the service is always good. They sent up extra blanket & pillows, and were very accomadatung. The breakfast was wonderful. Took my 3 young kids and I've never seen them eat so much before. They lost a star because the bathroom was very back dated, and didn't work very well. For the price I wasn't impressed with the shower at all. Overall great stay! Lovely service

Hotel room was spacious and had all the necessary facilities available such as in room iron and full-size ironing board, tea and coffee making facilities, TV, WiFi in room and public areas. Food was of a very good standard with the included breakfast as I had dinner elsewhere. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. The only issue is the location is a long way from the city centre meaning taxi service is expensive to use and buses are at least 15 min walk which with luggage could be an issue.

Where do I start. Check in good. Staff nice. Thatβs the end of a good story. Issues as follows All seats in the reception dirty and stained Most seats in bar stained On route to the room the lifts are dirty most of the corridors had stained carpets Marks and bad paint on walls in corridors The room (299) Room was grubby, did not feel clean at all!! Carpet covered in stains and marks Shower curtain, tatty and grey with marks all over it Tea and coffee tray was covered in bits of bread crumbs One clean glass and one dirty Marks on 2/3 towels, plus a hole in one Worst of all was the large chair next to the TV. Had a clear crusty stain right in the middle of the seat, I will leave it up to you to decide how you think that was left their by another guest! If I had not got back to the room late I would of gone to another hotel. I slept in my clothes on top of the bed, and gave the dirty shower a miss, until I got home. I did grab breakfast as I had a long drive and had paid in advance, to be fair that was good and all the staff, great and the area very clean. This was a waste of Β£122. You really need to clean better, a tired room is ok for a one night stay, but only if clean!!!! No excuse for a brand that I believe always stood for quality.

Although this place is very close to the motorway you have to approach it from the right direction or else you get caught in a long diversion to try again! Once there, the car park is large and we had a pleasant check in. Our room was a good size and actually had a proper desk with plenty of workspace and designed so the screen is facing away from the bed - this is ideal for us as I get up early and can get on with work whilst my wife sleeps! We had dinner in the restaurant and it was decent food with efficient and pleasant service, as was breakfast. The hotel could do with a refresh but our rooms were clean, everything worked and service was good.

The hotel is very spacious and all staff we dealt with were polite and pleasant to deal with. The breakfast selection was fantastic with allot of choice when typically compared with other hotels. The room we stayed in was a bit tired and needs an update. The room had no AC and the weather was very muggy (29 degrees) so it was hard to get comfortable, we had a small fan only and the windows only opened about 10cm which was not enough to let in any air.
