Great experience in the hotel. Came back after a long delayed flight for something to eat and we were taken care of by Tracey and David. They went above and beyond in their customer service. We will definitely come back if this is the norm round here. Meals were excellent and great value for money too.
Room was really nice huge comfy beds very clean. Bathroom facilities were really modern and well kept. Breakfast was being made to order due to the hotel being quiet and was really tasty and fresh. Lovely service from all the staff we interacted with.
Internet connection is the most important aspect nowadays and I hope Ibis Style Hotel will upgrade their internet connection to service their clients. Although there is no password to connect their Wifi, however, there is no connection at all. The Wifi is too slow and I could not connect at all. When I escalated it to the main reception, she could not help me with this concern. On the other hand, the staff is accommodating. In fact, they let me leave my luggage free of charge so that I could attend the conference without bringing my things hence my check-in time is at 3pm and I arrived at 10am today. My room is massive. It is a family room. This is the only room available when I book the reservation. The room is clean and it smells clean. The location of the hotel is accessible to the airport and train station. It is safe and quiet. I ordered food in their restaurant, it took an hour before my food was being served. As compensation, they offered a free dessert. The food is flavourful but the serving is small.
We arrived very late at night after traveling. The desk clerk was very helpful and got us checked in quickly. The room was small but spotlessly clean with a modern bathroom. For me personally the bed was too firm, but that's personal choice as my husband found it comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. I had two perfect fried eggs cooked fresh for me. I asked a young girl assistant if they did them. Nothing was too much trouble. All the staff in the restaurant were lovely. All the offerings were tasty and fresh. On checking out another young man checked us out, again very efficient and pleasant.
I stayed at the hotel whilst attending the VOX conference centre. The hotel is close to rail and road links. I assume it is great for airport stays due to the location, but set in an industrial estate, so nothing in the immediate vicinity. There are lots of facilities at the Resort Centre, which is walking distance (15 mins away), but not a great walk or well signposted. Rooms were absolutely fine considering the price, and the staff were friendly.
Great for NEC but not sure about walking from venue in dark. Luckily I didn't have to. Nice staff let me know how everything worked. Good breakfast and helpful servers. Restful sleep.
Well it's close to the airport, that's all there is to positively say about it. I know it's cheap, and you get what you pay for, but the meal was microwaved and left me bloaded and feeling nauseous. The drinks we were sure were watered down. The room was small. The bed very uncomfortable. And the noise coming from the corridor from other guests was almost unbearable. Needless to say it was an experience never to be repeated.
Lovely hotel, room was very nice and clean. Bed was nice and comfortable, food was very nice, but wasn't very much variety on offer for evening meal, much better at breakfast time next morning, food was just warm wasn't very hot. We all got put into a room to have our meal which was not good, was expecting to have meal in restaurant not in a room. Location of hotel wasn't very good was in middle of knowhere, couldn't go anywhere so just had to stay in hotel all night. Only had one drink at bar, handed money over and barman says didn't have right amount of change for note so was one pound short of change. Should really have enough money in till to give back when handing notes over.
Rooms & location great for (work) related traveling. I've been there several times. Relatively cheap, good access to airport by monorail. The food always takes an amazing long time before it arrives. Last visit it took 1hr and 8 minutes between ordering and reciving. That is crazy ...
