   Visited Asda pentwyn pharmacy to pick up medicine for my daughter who had the flu recently. Staff at the counter were hostile, unhelpful & immediately put up barriers to selling the item, advising medicine requested would cause a chest infection if taken with flu symptoms. The staff refused to sell the medicine and when asked to speak to the pharmacist, was informed she was busy. Absolute disbelief at the disrespectful, hostile service. Staff refused to give the pharmacists name & advised queuing again at customer service for address to make a complaint. Never in my lifetime have I experienced such hostile, unfriendly service, I would never step foot near Asda pharmacy again! Funny thing is, whilst in store, the advertisement over the tannoy was informing customers on the wonderful service available at Asda pharmacy. The staff were hostile to the point that left me upset & leaving the store without medication leaving my daughter to suffer with symptoms all weekend without medication. Staff at the pharmacy counter are clearly medically trained and are able to advise and treat patients in this way. Appalling service all round, staff should be replaced to ensure the reputation of Asdas customer service remains strong.

   I’ve read some reviews that are negative but I’d like to share what an excellent service I had. I understand there is new management and their service in helping me get a flu jab was superb. They had to reschedule due to a shortage but despite that they kept me totally informed throughout and even rang me when there was only one left to ensure that I got what I needed. They were polite, courteous and, on top of that, I didn’t even feel the injection. I don’t write many reviews but felt they needed the prize and acknowledgment. Don’t be put off by older reviews.

   After confirming the name on the script, the bloke on the pharmacy took 30 seconds to register what I said then proceeded to process someone else's script! The week before they gave my mother someone else's medication then chased her round asda trying to get it back! One of the worst pharmacies I've ever been too. Workers look bored and don't pay attention. A whole hour of my time wasted while my ill child waited for medication they didn't even have.

   Positives Easy parking and convenient location in a supermarket. You can do your shopping whilst you wait. Negatives The pharmacy rarely seems open. It is often closed for half-an-hour or more at seemingly random times. The opening hours therefore have little consistency. Receiving your prescription is often very slow. The staff seem inattentive. It feels like you are being ignored when you wait at the counter. You feel as if you are a burden to the staff. Customer service is therefore not particularly good. Prepare yourself for a long and dull wait, or for the pharmacy to be closed altogether.

   As part of the minor ailments scheme I was dissapointed to be refused a simple medicated eye drop for an eye infection, instead being told to visit an optician... that are all closed on Bank Holiday.
