   The only cattery I will use for my boys. Always come home happy and healthy from all the fuss and love they receive from Simone. A long standing business for over 50 years proves the commitment and dedication to the care of the cats who come for their holidays. Beautiful surroundings, lovely peaceful area. I always recommend to others when looking for somewhere to board their cats!

   Extremely disappointed and concerned by what I’ve seen when working at this cattery. I followed the exact instructions I was given — “if a cat misses, just put some newspaper down” — and then got spoken down to afterwards for doing exactly that, as if I’d done something wrong this happened many times. I was also referred to as a “troll,” which was completely uncalled for and very unprofessional. When I reported that one poor cat was shaking even while eating and clearly terrified, I was told “she probably doesn’t like her brother,” rather than anyone actually addressing her distress. This cat has nowhere to hide or feel safe, which is incredibly worrying. I noticed several food and water bowls that were cracked or broken, and some were covered in a white residue. This raised serious concerns about hygiene and the standard of care. The general attitude toward the animals felt dismissive, and the way Simone speak about customers after they leave is shocking — I’d hate for owners to know this. To make matters worse, the disinfectant being used has been burning my skin, and no gloves are provided or even offered. That’s a basic health and safety issue that shouldn’t be ignored instead she hides them when she seen me looking. I really hope management or relevant authorities look into this, because both the cats and the staff deserve far better conditions and respect than what I witnessed.

   Our cats stayed here for a week and the care was very good. The staff are caring and friendly and we appreciated a message and photo whilst we were on holiday letting us know how our cats were doing . I definately will be using them in the future.

   We have been going too Goose Rye Cattery for over 20 years on and off. Firstly for our cat Missy and we were always very happy with how she was looked after and when she was off her food they always found alternatives to get her feeding. We only stopped when she didn't like to travel. Our present cat, Dickie who is 18 has been going since we got him from Cats Protection aged 15. We had no hesitation in boarding him with Simone and her team. He has daily medication and they take great care in making sure it is given correctly. We will continue to take Dickie as we have lots of confidence in how he is cared for. At least two people we know have gone to Goose Rye having spoken with us.

   Highly recommended! Excellent place for your cat with a peace environment and lovely staff! Our cat has been there several times (for longer holidays as well). Simone and her colleagues always look after our Rose very well and they send us photos and videos. All the time we get back a happy, healthy and relaxed cat! Thank you!
