   Stayed 2 nights here. Excellent food. Very comfortable room and bed. Friendly staff. Ideal for Wooky Hole Caves with a 5 minute walk and other local attractions by car.

   Went for an early dinner with two tired toddlers and a baby. The staff were really welcoming and never made us feel like a nuisance, despite the fact that we were a pretty chaotic group. The lovely lady in charge even brought over some toys for the toddlers to play with. The food was great too. Will definitely be coming back.

   For a visit to a true British village in the Mendip Hill area of Somerset, this Inn is a good place to be. The caves are on walking distance. A charming footpath leads to Wells, a walk of about 30 min. I recommend a visit to the Bishop's Palace and Wells' Cathedral is impressive as well.

   We are staying in one of the lodges at Wookey Hole Caves and this pub is literally across the road. After reading reviews we decided to book for a meal. Absolutely amazing. We were greeted very warmly by the bar staff. We ordered food and it was DELICIOUS! It was a very hot evening so we ate in the beer garden. Lovely atmosphere! We booked to eat there again this evening and had the same great service and again, the food was amazing! The onion rings are seriously to die for! Trust me! I had the vegetable quiche both times we went and loved it! Hubby had cowboy burger first night and chicken burger tonight…..presentation was great too. Definitely worth calling in!!

   Stopped in for a quick lunch before visiting Wookey Hole just across the street. Very friendly service, and they were especially attentive about my allergies. Food was excellent - we had a chicken burger and gnocchi which were both delicious.

   The food here is marvellous. Every dish is cooked to perfection, and the presentation is superb. Service is fast and friendly. Pets are welcome. There is a great selection of drinks, but the local ales are just wonderful. We were lucky to get live music from The Sheriff - a fantastic local band that ought to win British Got Talent soon! We are fans now! Can't recommend enough. This is a must if you are nearby.

   The staff were great; we were a big group that arrived near the end of lunch service, but they accommodated us and didn't make us feel uncomfortable. As it was Hallowe'en, all the children in our group were given a little treat! So kind. Also, the food was delicious, clearly homemade with care.

   Stayed a couple of nights. Lovely downstairs. Nice beer garden. Food was excellent and reasonably priced. Our room was very spacious with an amazing custom carved bathroom door and antique old style bath and sink. There wasn't a shower though and the bed was a little too firm for our tastes. The TV was also non smart and digital channels kept getting periodic interference and drop outs, especially during rain. Overall, the place was quaint and the staff were great.
