We have just returned from a 5 night stay, over the twixmas period, in our Campervan. We had family who booked a 3 night stay in an onsite static caravan also. First and foremost; ALL the staff are incredible - Welcoming, friendly, and always there to lend a hand. The site was perfect for us; we stayed on 2 separate pitches as we extended our stay so we got to experience both The Grove and The Strawberry Field. The Grove was great, super quiet and fantastic views, with its own toilet / shower block and dish washing facilities, and just a short walk from the main facilities and reception. The track to this area is a bit like off roading, and has little lighting, but for us we enjoyed that as it felt like wild camping with good amenities, and adventure for our 4 year old! The Strawberry Field is the centre to all main facilities; including play park, bar, swimming pool, store, etc. Pitches are set back from a smooth tarmac track which is well lit, making it more suitable for guests with mobility issues, which was definitely more suited to my Mum! We will definitely be visiting again, and honestly wouldn't mind where we were pitched, as we found both options perfect for us in their own ways. The site is perfectly located for exploring the local area. During our stay we visited Wells, Cheddar, The Gorge & Jacobs Ladder & Weston-super-Mare, never traveling for longer than 30minutes. Having a 4 year old with multiple food allergies, we often struggle with onsite bars / restaurants, but Bucklegrove had multiple options which catered for his allergies meaning we were able to eat onsite most evenings, useful for relaxing after the long days exploring! What truly makes this place though is the staff! We can't compliment them enough - just Thank you!

Superb location views are stunning. Has a swimming pool, bar and restaurant which is very affordable. Kids meals £7 adults from £12. Staff are friendly and can't help enough. Would definitely come again. And would recommend to anyone, everything is within 10mins making it ideal for travellers

Excellent location, friendly and helpful staff and nice and straightforward getting in and setup in our camper. Toilets were clean and showers had great pressure and ran nice and hot. The bar and restaurant was also nice, offering the standard sort of food you'd expect at a very reasonable price. Gravel pitch was somewhat level and electric hookup worked faultlessly. Water point was also close by. Would recommend this site for anyone looking for somewhere to stay in their camper.

Absolutely amazing stay, cannot fault the staff. Nothing is to much trouble. So friendly from morning until night. The food is incredible. (Ex chef and the steak is the best I have tasted in years) They involved the kids and adults in their entertainment and gave good prizes. Off park things to do within 10 minutes either direction. For anyone looking for a relaxing family stay then this is the place.

Lovely little site with a swimming pool and loots of space. Little shower block was adequate as we had a pitch near it. Haven't used the big shower block. Plenty of electrical posts for campers and easy to get to water supply. Animal grove is a lovely little touch.

An overall fantastic stay with lovely accommodation and fantastic views across the fields when in the hot tub or sat in the lounge. The lodge itself was modern, clean and very up together. A nice play to stay for a romantic weekend away. A few negatives, 1) the heat of the hot tub couldn’t be changed and seems it was extremely cold this weekend, it would have been nice to increase the temp. 2) the water temperature was very poor. Showers and bath was basically cold and not enjoyable at all Despite these negatives, the stay was great overall, highly recommend and would stay again.

What a gem, a lovely site. We took a camper for a couple of nights. Heater indoor pool was great, lovely bar and bar food (good value and a plate full). Heated toilet and shower facilities, haven’t seen better on a campsite! May return next year in the summer.

Lovely setting and very pleasant accommodation. The interior was clean, tidy and had everything needed. The pool was nice, however, due to some mobility issues, was a little difficult to get out of, due to its high sides and slightly too narrow steps. It was a real shame that the bar and grill was closed throughout our stay as it meant we had to leave site for evening meals and the main road outside the park is really not safe for pedestrians. The pub in one direction had about 6(full) parking spaces and the pub the other way didn't seem to open at all! Thankfully, the nearby Cider Barn is an absolute gem and we enjoyed 2 evenings there including one of their open mic nights.

This is a great site between Cheddar Gorge and Woolley Hole. Great level pitches for caravans and services on our pitch we’re great. Bar is great and the food was lovely. Pool is small, but enough for messing around in the water. Smaller pool for little people too. The staff are really friendly and helpful, and nothing was too much for them. Facilities are clean and there is enough for the number of pitches available. Would definitely recommend this site to anyone who is wanting to stay in the area.
