   On a wet and windy December Friday night, my friends and I just wanted to chill somewhere cosy with a g&t. We picked the Stormont hotel lounge bar as we live locally. Wow, what a great evening we had! Two lovely, attentive young bar tenders called Robyn and Reuben looked after us for 5 hours, as well as keeping on top of a busy foyer area. We ordered turkey & stuffing toasties from the Festive lounge menu which was recommended by Robyn. They were delicious with sides of fries and dipping gravy. Outside the wind was still blowing which made the foyer area a little chilly. So, the Manager turned off the air conditioning and kept topping up the log fire every 15 minutes to keep everyone cosy and warm. We had a great evening and really appreciated being looked after so well. Thank you!

   Went here to celebrate my sister's birthday... couldn't have chosen a better place. The starters and mains were excellent... we didn't have dessert, only because the the helpings were so generous that we were full up. And the service was polite, friendly and efficient; special mention for Holly, our waitress. All in all, well worth the visit.

   We booked in at the Stormont Hotel to stay when our flight got cancelled, but the experience including our dinner was so good that we were actually glad to stay another night! We ordered the arancini for our starter which arrived within five minutes, it was still hot, delightfully crispy and balanced in all flavours. We opted to order the steak, medium rare, along with sautéed greens and creamy champ as sides, and were not disappointed. Everything was cooked to perfection, and we cleaned our plates. As we told our chefs, we recently went on a month's honeymoon to Argentina and ate some of the finest steaks in the world including at Michelin guide restaurants, and we genuinely found this in that league. Will return with family! Thank you to the whole team, Aaron, Scott, Michael and Eve for your kind, friendly and professional service.

   Arrogant attitude, wanted to order a bottle of wine and was told they didn't have it, it's an old menu. As if it was our fault. Brought out our food after 3 tables seated after received it. Chips were bland, cold and not crispy. No salt/pepper, had to ask for everything. Stick with the apps- the chowder and duck egg rolls are sublime. Horrible service from the reservation to sitting. I'd name our mediocre wait person but he never introduced himself.

   The food in this place tastes awful. They advertise their chips as being 'triple cooked'. I can categorically tell you that these chips are not triple cooked. they were light in colour and tasted almost raw! The main course took almost an hour to arrive and we had a similar wait for the desert.
