Not tried the food but locals say it is very good, a couple on my table were checking the Christmas Menu. I drank the Everard's Tiger , pulled well and delivered as it should be £4,20 I think it was, so not Wetherspoons prices. The lounge is more formal and eating space so go to the smaller bar with two TVs if drink or watching sport is you thing. The Sun is nicely decorated and pleasant. I hadn't noticed that the locals who seem to dominate village pubs here, so don't be put off going. Catch the Number 1 South Notts bus either from Nottingham or Loughborough, the Curzon St stop is the one to use. Walk towards the Church. Recommend.

Just been in today for a Sunday dinner. It was outstanding!! Service was great too. We got a big thumbs up for the Yorkshire pudding wrap from one of my boys.

Friendly staff but rather uninspiring pub which seemed to have a very restricted range of snacks. Part of the car park has been turned into an outside seating area, but the view onto the backs of houses and a distinct lack of greenery doesn't really enhance the atmosphere.

5 stars. Clean, very friendly staff. Varied menu that was not only delicious but also reasonable priced. Portions large and not a huge wait for food. Chef popped out to personally ask guests if food was OK which was a nice touch.

We arrived just after 8pm on a Thursday after i finished work, and the chef was already closing down the kitchen as it was extremely quiet in the pub. However he kindly got things going again and made me a very tasty fresh vegetarian pizza and my partner had a spicy Turkish chicken dish. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Will definitely go again.

Lovely staff great service. Really welcoming pub. The food was delicious. We will be going again! The staff were down to earth, friendly and a great group of people to talk to. They made us feel like a local and it was brilliant.
