   This is a really lovely restaurant. They’ve a beautiful, varied menu with its own unique twists. The wine menu here is also very impressive and surprisingly reasonable. We both opted for steaks and they were cooked to complete perfection! I have to say also the staff here are so warm, inviting & attentive. Great service overall. The only slight criticism I have is we found the restaurant a little tight. Tables were quite close together. Also made the restaurant a little loud. Nonetheless we had a great evening here and would definitely return! I would recommend making a reservation in advance. It’s a busy restaurant but for good reasons!

   The food was absolutely amazing here at James St, every bite was full of flavour and so well cooked. Our waitress (I wish I could remember her name!) was just lovely, super friendly, helpful and really made us feel so welcome. Couldn’t have asked for better service. Will definitely be coming back again soon!

   Absolutely amazing food! The scallops and steak I ordered easily deserve an 11/10 — absolutely delicious! The scallops were delicate, fresh, and full of flavor, while the steak was cooked to perfection — tender, juicy, and bursting with taste. Every bite was pure joy. The service was incredibly warm and attentive from start to finish. Despite being a group of 14, everything was handled with impressive efficiency — all the plates arrived at the same time, hot, beautifully presented, and exactly as ordered. Everyone at the table was happy and more than satisfied. I wholeheartedly recommend this place — it truly stole my heart.

   Great steaks and the suef and turf hit it out of the park. Take your family or dinner date here to seal the deal. (Wink). The desserts were great as well. We ordered a variety of drinks and all were very good. For the price the whiskey flights are a great deal. We enjoyed the 12 year old flight and can say the third variety will be bought as a bottle to consume back home. The interior of the place is exceptionally clean and well put together.

   Had the most delightful evening with friends celebrating over a Christmas meal. We had Salmon and Ham Hock starter, Turkey and finished with Christmas Pud, Poached Pear and Cheese.....all tremendous. Congrats Team James Street

   What an incredible meal! My partner and I visited James St to celebrate our anniversary. The staff were so patient, polite and kind, making excellent wine suggestions to complement our menu choices. The food was delicious from start to finish from the beef carpaccio to the Steak and the Turkey to beautiful sticky toffee pudding. We love this place and will always be returning it’s a true credit to the James Street crew! Thank you!

   James St South is brilliant at what it does. You won't find crazy and outlandish flavour combinations, but what you will find is thee best version of an item that is found on its menu. It has the best steaks in all of Belfast, the wine selection is spectacular and their Béarnaise sauce is one of the greatest things I have tasted in the last 10 years. I do also recommend giving the pickled watermelon rind a go. Strange but very good. A bit pricey but in my opinion worth every penny.

   The Crab and Chilli Linguine we had was just okay, but I wish it had more chillis. The Potato Mash we got was also a bit disappointing, but it tasted a bit bland. It was great after we salted it though. For our mains, we got the Parmesan Gnocchi with Butternut Squash and Date, which was really great, and the Duck Breast which was above average. The atmosphere and waiters were nice and I enjoyed my time there, but I wouldn't come back. The portions were pretty small relative to the price and the food didn't taste as consistently good as I expect from a Michelin guide restaurant.

   A lovely pre-theatre meal here. The chateaubriand was absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection. Great atmosphere, but I'd recommend to book early, although they were able to fit us in on the bar stools with 24hrs notice. I will definitely be back.
