   We visited here for lunch today. We love this pub and the food it offers. Atmosphere is always friendly and surroundings a little bit quirky. I had the chilli and nachos which suited my gluten free needs. It was delicious. We highly recommend this pub

   A lovely little pub. Nice cosy atmosphere, especially with the open fire burning. The food was really good, better than I expected for pub grub and the other 7 guys I was with didn't have a bad thing to say about the food.

   I've had many wonderful meals here. We discovered the pub after working on a TV show shooting locally, coming in from the cold in the winter to enjoy the exceptional dishes, particularly the fish options! I recommend the garlic prawns - we come back once every few months just for those! The owner is Cornish and he adores his pub, you can really feel it! A must visit on the way through.

   This is an incredibly authentic pub with bucket loads of character (decor, chef and bar staff). The food blows anything from your “usual local pub” out of the water. Had scallops, kind prawns and fish goujons with lovely crusty brown bread. The special beer on tap was a real treat. Atmosphere at 8pm on a Tuesday was quiet and cosy (candle light type vibe) but got lively at 9.30pm when the locals farmers arrived, who were all nice. If you are a city prince or princess this might not be for you…. but in my opinion this is a real hidden gem.

   Good food and drinks at this delightful pub, oozing atmosphere - aided by wonderful Christmas decorations inside and out, sensibly kept in place throughout January. The best fire I've ever seen in a pub, with huge logs. Very friendly staff. Dogs welcomed.

   Amazing quirky place like frozen in time. Very recommended by many of our friends in the area and they where all spot on! Delicious Mulled Cider and Nachos! Don’t miss the fire place in winter time. So cozy! Very friendly staff.

   Found the food I had which was a steak baguette pretty bad. Complete baguette of gristle. Did not enjoy the experience at all. I may have just been unlucky but won't go back. The pub is quaint and very charismatic

   What a little gem! A small old fashioned pub with open fire and Christmas lights a twinkling. King prawns and crusty bread were delicious. Warning though, don't just turn up, book first! Small but popular for cosy evening out!

   The food was lovely and the staff very friendly. A real gem of a place.Very old pub. However it smelt musty inside. Had plastic table cloths and blue wooden chairs. Interior needed a face lift. Would not have stayed if it had not been for the recommendations about the food quality. Loved that we sat with the Queen though.
