   The staff was so friendly on arrival. The room was so cute, very clean. The bathroom sparkled. The beds were a bit uncomfortable. The food was amazing from dinner to desert to the complimentary full English breakfast. The atmosphere was comfortable and inviting and the bar and kitchen staff were absolutely fabulous. We were treated like regulars. Would stay here again and again.

   My Mum and I regularly walk down to the Nelson and Railway for our dinner. We love the food and drink and find it very affordable. There's a good amount of choice for vegetarians and I usually have the halloumi burger. The staff are very friendly and the pub has a laid back, unpretentious vibe that we love.

   Often looking for an overnighter on our way south just off the motorway and the Nelson and Railway fits the bill perfectly. Think we have found a regular little place. On the edge of Kimberly town which is worth a wander round with a few bars and eats. Parking is round the back of the pub. Bar itself victorian but in an older building. Bar very pleasant, nice beer garden with an open aspect, friendly staff and locals. Food fine if not exceptional but a reasonable price. Perfectly adequate. Burgers, chilli, lasagne, pie, scampi kind of place. Beer kept well and a good choice to be had. Place very tidy, our room was large, tidy and quiet - all attributes I like in a bedroom. Bed comfortable, could open the window for fresh air. Room a little old fashioned but I liked the confident plaid/flowers clash. Eat that up interior designers! Cooked breakfast was excellent - orange juice, toast and tea, coffee on top. Friendly service again. Very quick back onto the motorway.

   Stayed here a few times now and always found the rooms clean and warm with comfortable beds. As for the bar area, plenty of real ales with 3 on while we stayed. Food, was fab. Both breakfast and evening meal cooked to order. All the staff are friendly and helpful. Tip: If you fancy a pint in the evening getting back early, as sometimes they close if not busy.

   Nelson and railway is a lovely place to stay, there for family wedding. The pub/B&B is clean and has a cozy feel with a great breakfast in the morning. Didn't use the bar but it looked well stocked with a good choice of beers. Location Only scored two because didn't see any of the area.

   Called in for something to eat. Lovely greeting from the bar and were asked if we were dining whilst deciding where to sit. Looked at the menu and also the specials board. Everything from snack to all day brunch and main meals, along with chefs specials on the board. My friend had the all day brunch and was asked if he'd prefer toast or fried bread with it. He decided on toast. I fancied the cheese and onion toastie with salad and coleslaw. The food came along and looked beautiful. Eating it was a pleasure as it tasted as good as it looked. Everything freshly done to order. We were asked if we required anything over and above the well stocked condiments selection. We both were highly delighted and thanked the lady who cleared our table once we'd both finished

   A great traditional pub/B&B. The room was very comfortable and has everything you need. The stand out though was the service especially the chef who does the breakfast in the morning. He goes above and beyond. I asked for tap water instead of morning tea or coffee and he gave me two bottles of water. I would definitely recommend a stay
