   Great pub , good selection of real ales and other beverages, locals, but friendly to non-locals, great events, like a weekly folk club. For a non-city-centre pub, I think the price of a pint of ale is a bit steep, other wise, wonderful. 4 and a half stars

   Only my 4th visit to this pub, and it is an excellent "proper" pub, which is nicely off the beaten track - lovely chilled atmosphere from lounge side, bar side (pool and darts in here) and a nice pub garden. Also have a book swap thing going on, so managed to pick up a fantastic book (didn't have one to swap, made a donation to charidee instead) while having a lovely drink with friends (last visit)
