Bar staff helpful and down to earth gave me advice about the sizes of carvery and spot on drinks. Carvery was piping hot, beef was melt in the mouth. The gravy was made form the meats and tasty. Cauliflower cheese was on point. I liked hearing the chef speaking to the team and thanking them for their hard work and came out and spoke to us as well. Nice touch all around we will be back as they are back to serving great food locally. It’s not posh it’s a homely dinner

Terrible customer service, they way some of the employees communicate to customers is as if they're drunk. They ask you to ring and book a table but the phone is never answered. I've called multiple times and no answer, I've attempted to book online also and it's not a option. The carvery is very nice since they have a new chef but unfortunately the manner of which the staff operate is below par so I would avoid. Enjoy your Sunday roast elsewhere.

Poor selection of meat, gammon or nothing! Had to wait 30 minutes for the vegetables to be replinished. Lack of apology from staff. Won't be going back!

Had my son’s 30th birthday party here last night ! Great afternoon and everything was taken care of from dropping cake off earlier and the lovely bar staff helped put up birthday banners. The room is spacious and the the food was just incredible - everyone commented. Thank you so much we had a great afternoon xx

First time going to the Vale. Very busy. Friendly staff. Had heard the carvery was good so decided to give it a try today. Really enjoyed the food. Everything l had was cooked nicely and the chef was pleasant and gave out decent size portions of meat. Everything else was self serve. With plenty of choice. Gravey was nice to. All in all good first impression. Would definitely recommend. And will be going back again in the future.

We held our sons 30th birthday party at the Vale, What an absolute legend, the food was amazing, the staff and locals were polite and accommodating. We had a fantastic time. We hired the function room with our own DJ. however, The pub also offered a live band in the main bar and we were able to commute back and forth. The pub dons a large car park with brilliant restroom facilities. I’ve already booked my table for quiz night! Thank you and see you soon

Amazing carvery, full of flavour and obviously home cooked. Best cauliflower cheese and roast potatoes ever. Great price, and friendly staff, especially Cassie who made us feel relaxed and welcome.
