Room was tidy and warm. Parking available but Limited. The lady checking us in at the reception must have had a hard day, given that she could not muster a single smile for us. Mattress was uncomfortable, ended up with backache. Bathroom dustbin was broken . Water pressure in the shower was temperature dependant, the hotter it got the lower the flow got . Over priced for the services we got .

We recently visited Sun Inn with our family and had a wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome and looked after every detail. The atmosphere was warm and relaxed, perfect for both adults and kids. Our meals were delicious — generous portions, beautifully presented, and full of flavour. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and surprisingly quiet, making for a great night’s sleep. It’s clear the team takes real pride in what they do. We left feeling refreshed and well cared for, and we’re already planning our next visit. Highly recommended!

Stayed for 1 night in a double room and had the cooked breakfast. The bed was good and the room was well equipped (TV, hairdryer, kettle & coffees) but unfortunately our bathroom was falling apart - the shower did not work and the fittings were coming out of the wall. The staff were good at quickly resolving issues (like the lack of soap) but were generally quite unfriendly - they did not greet us at check in and it was difficult to order drinks at the bar. The breakfasts were okay (though they took a while to arrive), however several items advertised on the continental menu were not available, the coffee had no flavour, and the black pudding was cooked like a hockey puck.

Me and my daughter stayed here recently and we had a great time the food was amazing the room was so nice the staff are such friendly people it was great chatting with the staff while we stayed in the Sun Inn. It was busy with the football being on but the atmospheric was amazing. The general manager Amy is an absolute star so nice and friendly really bubbly person we need managers like her in Ireland can’t wait to go back soon

Me and my partner stayed here recently and it was amazing the staff are so friendly and kind I had great chats to the bar staff ( sorry for waffling the ears off you all) the food was top notch as well the service was so good I am a very fussy eater and can’t each much due to health conditions but the staff listened to what I needed and went over and beyond to meet my needs. Also Amy the general manager I love her when we arrived we received a very warm welcome she helped us with anything we needed I was so sad to leave I can’t wait to book my next visit

Mother and I have just had a meal at this pub which was delicious and hot. Apple and blackberry crumble with custard to die for. Great atmosphere and the staff are very friendly especially Michelle. We will both be back soon. Thankyou.

The four stars are for the pub which supplied good food and beer but would only give 1 star for the hotel side as the room was small, the shower was tiny especially for a 6 foot plus individual. Arrived for breakfast on the Saturday to find the place locked, even the chef was locked out. Poor man had to do everything including waiting table, laying out the food and cooking. Sunday breakfast was no better as the poor chap had no help and we waited 1 hour to have our food served. On both occasions Continental breakfast was on the menu but nowhere to be seen. Feel the staff need training on how to run a hotel.

On Saturday evening, I had come with my family. I went up to the bar to be told by one of the bar staff in a rude manner that she was not serving and that I would have to wait. I'm not sure of her name but I overheard someone calling her kelsey, I was very unhappy with the service that we ended up leaving. The bar was very untidy and was not very busy.

What a truly wonderful pub/restaurant this is. Cheap as chips, the food is delicious and seems fairly decent quality. Drinks are so reasonably priced. There is a great outside area that has play part for kids with plenty of seating so I would imagine it would be very busy in the summer and it's secured all round with fencing. Great parking at the rear which is play and display and free for I think 3 hours with a blue badge. There is accommodation here too which is quite basic, I didn't stay here myself however my uncle did and showed pictures of the family room. In all fairness they look clean and basic, certainly adequate for somewhere to put your head. I would definitely recommend this place and the staff are lovely too.
