Rooms are tired and uninviting, very dated and horrible brown decor! Generally noisy because of the main road and ineffective glazing / window closures. However, the rooms are clean and the shower room is the best asset! Unfortunately due to a full booking in the restaurant on my second night I couldn’t eat there, it was New Years Eve so I can’t rate the food or service! It’s the first hotel that I’ve stayed at in a long time that doesn’t provide tea and coffee making facilities in the room, you need to phone for service! Really annoying to be honest. Ear plugs are provided, I think that says it all…. The entertainment music in the bar does travel, welcome when having a drink, not so much so when wanting to sleep! Never again….

Have had many christmas work parties here and had a great time with good food, so thought would book for partners birthday dinner. Place was bunged with no parking so had to park across the road, music far too loud in the bar, but got moved to main restaurant due to having kids after 7.30pm (which was not informed of over the telephone booking). The restaurant was much better setting than main bar for food. Partner and brothers, once car was parked, were refused entry by two bouncers and asked a hundred questions on why there were there including "what are you here for, whats the dinner for, who's birthday is it" to which my partner was then refused entry after answering them all because he was wearing north face cotton bottoms, which he wore for comfort. The bouncer explained "its a hotel" which my partner was shocked over because any one with any logic know majority of people would go or leave hotel stays in comfort and usually in tracksuits for ease. Very disappointed that this happened as it was a special birthday dinner, was looking forward to some good food with family, but because my partner and his brothers were not liked by their look it really ruined the whole evening for everyone, even when this was booked weeks ago. No dinner was had here or anywhwre else because being the time of year and time of evening, we could not go anywhere else.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ "5 stars for The Lansdowne Hotel! I held a psychic mediumship evening here and was so impressed by the venue. The function room was beautifully decorated, but the service was the real highlight. The team went above and beyond, with a special mention to Ashley, who was incredibly helpful and attentive throughout the night. I will definitely be booking again."

Stayed here last week and had requested a quiet room but they put me in a room about the bar. Could here the pub singer all night. Very noisey. When askee to be moved we were told that couldnt be arranged. Corridors stank of cigeratte smoke. Breakfast was awful. Stale food. I emailed management about my stay and got no reply. Avoid avoid avoid!!!!

We had our wedding here in September 2025. The whole day was everything we wanted and more and Colleen and all the staff at the Lansdowne were vital to ensuring the day was a success. We would really recommend The Lansdowne as a wedding venue as it is welcoming, vibrant and has a great atmosphere. Throughout the wedding planning process, Colleen was very responsive, so happy and quick to help and no request was too small or too large. Colleen gave us really good guidance and made sure our wedding timeline worked for us but also kept our guests in mind to ensure that the day was a great experience for everyone. Colleen is extremely personable and made us feel totally at ease throughout the many ups and downs of wedding planning. We had total confidence in Colleen and her team which meant that we could let go and enjoy our wedding day without feeling the need to manage anything. Colleen and team are well versed in executing a very smooth wedding, even one with two brides who want their first look on the aisle and a man of honour who leaves his blazer upstairs - walkie talkies allowed the team to coordinate and the jacket was retrieved ahead of the aisle procession thanks to Janette’s quick run! All of our guests raved about the Lansdowne in terms of the food and also the vibe of the wedding day - it was relaxing, fun and everything was delicious. No one felt rushed, bored or hungry which is important for wedding guests and brides! All the rooms were super comfortable and clean and everyone appreciated the free Taytos and water! We have been to the Lansdowne a few times for food before our wedding and will definitely be back! The food and atmosphere is amazing and it is such a welcoming venue whether you’re coming for dinner or a wedding!

Lovely atmosphere and great staff who are very attentive. Bingo on a Tuesday night was fun. Rooms are clean and well stocked with Ritual shower gels, soaps etc... Tea or coffee not available in the room however staff are more than happy to get a complimentary on site Costa. Also 2 complimentary bags of crisps in the room was a nice surprise The only issue is room 217 had a strange mechanical noise may be from kitchen ventilation system which kept me up till midnight and not something you want after a long day etc...

We arrived Saturday evening for a family weekend in Belfast. Jackie on reception was absolutely lovely, she told us how to find our room and even booked us a table in the bar for dinner last minute. Room was absolutely beautiful, bed was very comfy. The bar was busy for dinner and there was live music the entire time it was a great atmosphere. Burgers were great and pizza for the kids didn’t disappoint! Staff were very friendly and helpful, breakfast in the morning was even better and everyone found something they liked. We will defiantly be back. Perfect location for the Zoo and city centre.

Just called to book a table for the family to watch the final tomorrow in the guise of a 'family dinner', and after 3 other venues failing to accommodate me, Danielle on the phone went to great lengths to make sure we were sorted. You can't train great service like that, very pleased with the outcome, and the company should commend the efforts of the staff member that took the call.

I dropped in for food & a pint. Not to busy but waited to long for attention. Floor staff past me by, after a while I moved towards the bar asked the barman he's to busy asked a lounge girl for a table got a blank look. Finally a gentleman I think maybe the manager spotted me and got a table sorted. The food was very nice but small portion. No one asked how I was or if I was enjoying the food or if I needed anything. It was difficult to get the attention of the floor staff for the bill. I'm pretty sure I could have left and not be mist. So nice place a good pint taste food though small and staff could be a lot more aware maybe they lack experience.
