Can be a tad expensive but costs justified by excellent customer service, premium products and sheer range of products. Can be a bit of a kid in a sweet shop experience as so much to marvel at. As for price they do sell more budget items and have a range of sales. Its like most retail outlets. I usually go in for something for a particular project and end up with a load of other bargains. Advice wise they are very knowledgeable and if one colleague doesn't know they readably refer you to someone who does. At certain times parking can be a bit of a premium so planning a visit or being patient finding a space and exiting back onto the main road can all be, and at times frustrating, part of the shopping experience. Parking issue can be the same for any other retailer in the complex. Location wise it is just on the edge of the city Centre so at less busy times quite easy to access. Later evenings and earlier mornings are better if you want a more stress free experience otherwise it will be more of an average experience unless of course you enjoy the hustle bustle of shopping.

Very helpful staff and lots of selection. I like that there is a variety in price and quality of products. Good prices and stepping in there always makes me feel creative.

The staff were really nice, and I had no problems redeeming my birthday voucher. Well laid out store, tidy, easy to find what I wanted.

I am so conflicted about this place. They carry a reasonable selection of craft supplies, which includes seasonal options, at reasonable prices However... The lack of care from staff, the poor layout & access from a disability perspective makes it almost impossible to shop in. They don't have the excuse of an old building, or lack of space. No, its planning & consideration they seem to have forgotten. The ground floor of the store has large areas of open space, followed by tight displays that make navigation in a powerchair a challenge. At the end of each display was a selection of plastic storage that made it difficult or impossible to access areas. The lift is my major issue. Again, it's more the lack of foresight & consideration of a variety of customers needs that annoys me. Their lift is an enter at south, exit east type. There is limited space inside, so a wheelchair user plus a companion of average size cannot fit together. Any wheelchair slightly larger or longer than standard won't fit inside & even if they do, you cannot spin 90 degrees to exit due to the corner. I found myself trapped, unable to exit & frustrated as the items I wished to purchase were all upstairs. The building has space for a standard lift, I should point out. Look, I am use to not fitting in small shops or older style buildings. It's frustrating, but such is life. Customer service could have made all the difference, but I was left lacking . Whenever I've found myself unable to access a store there is usually some empathy from staff & suggestions made as a work around. Be it bringing things to the door, or even WhatsApp to allow me to browse in a different way. Funny, no Hobbycraft has ever suggested anything, other than to try online. You would think that a craft store would understand that checking things like colour, texture or quality matters, & I cannot do that online. If I did wish to shop on the www there are better, local, specialist options. Good wheelchair access is useful for not only other users, but other types of walking aids, prams, & other needs. Clearly Hobbycraft don't care about certain customers, which makes me wonder if I should spend my money with them at all?

Went there today for 10am and it was closed until 10.30am. Need to update opening hours again. Considering they were only confirmed 2 weeks ago the store opens at 10am on sunday. Maybe, decide on a time and stick to it instead of making it up as you go along.

Staff are always very helpful and cheery, the choice is brilliant, prices are reasonable too. Parking at the retail park can be difficult though and is a tight car park. Easily accessible from the bus stop though!
